I am sooo proud of you guys Tommy and Sharon. Yes, it is not a forever home but you can live and upgrade the house inside and out. Expert tip, always pay attention to the neighborhood. If the neighborhood is upscale, look for the house that needs to be upgraded so you can negotiate the price downwards. When you come in and upgrade, the house will increase in value to the neighborhood.I am glad that Tommy does the work himself and he doesn't have to pay anyone. pay attention to the roof, flooring, outside walls for structural issues as well to be sure that you don't have any repair surprises. Always inspect the whole building before you purchase and hire and inspector because it is worth it. Otherwise,the move in is paint, clean up and move in.

Congratulations on your new home 🏡 and it's takes plenty of time and money to do it so please don't try to rush it saying two weeks because I know I just brought a home a year and half ago I hired painters and put in all new appliances and left the carpet down in three room I had a man come out and steam clean it. And me and my son we deep cleaning this ranch and here it's almost two years pretty soon we put new siding and roofing we did landscaping ourselves we brought stuff well as lawnmower and trimmer weed eater the compete works and now it's liveable ❤to us we even painted the trimming outside to make it look completely new. I'm veryyyyyyy proud we came this far.. but Tommy and sharon, it's gonna take you guys at least 2 full years to do it the way u really want to decorate it. Unless you got plenty of money in the bank I got tired of renting after many, many years I was paying too much rent and it wasn't mine. So , if you have finished decorating and fixing up, you will definitely be happy. So good luck yo both of you..keep u both in my ♥️ 35:24 🙏🏿✝️♥️👍🏾🫶🏿

You’re so right it’s not going to be a quick fix. However we have to be out of our flat soon as we don’t want to pay rent and mortgage at the same time. 😬 We are just doing the bare minimum so we can move in. We’ve heard a few people say exactly what you said. And congratulations to you for purchasing your home. It’s such an exciting and stressful journey right. But I’m sure it’s worth it ❤❤❤

Good work Tommy! You could save time and maybe rent a sprayer to paint the whole house before ripping up the carpet. This may be a weekend job as the girls can spend the night with friends or family.

Tommy was right to do the ceilings first because you can't put the furniture in while painting the ceiling. There's nothing like having your own home and the freedom to upgrade and make it your own. If I were you, I would tear up the carpets get the walls done, put your belongings in the house, and start on the kitchen once you moved in. Just a little improvising and sacrificing. If the ceilings are popcorn they do have asbestos, they did away with popcorn ceilings years ago because of that. Just buy a few remnants to throw on the floor. Can't wait to see the final finish. The girls are having a ball & so excited about the back yard. It's big and they have lots of room to play. Sharon, (since you have been sick) I would suggest you wearing a mask, gloves, & safety glasses, while working in the home. You want to be safe with your eyes & also as you tear up the floor and remove kitchen hardware, you don't know what's behind them. Guys, don't stress over the 2 wks you have to move out & into your new home. Take it one day at a time & don't be so hard on yourselves. Make sure you are getting your rest & eating healthy! Guys so happy for you all. I know buying and moving is one of the nost stressful things but will worth it. I Think grey wooden flooring is quite lovely all over. The kitchen have a glass or silver extractor fan, white walls all over.

May God bless your new home. First , I would just clean and get rid of the things that are not need or any good. Make the place safe first. Then concentrate on the most important area. Like the kitchen. Then, go room by room. 2 weeks is not enough time by any means to get the house reconstructed in the way you’ll want it. Just clean and get the place safe to move in.
