We Have the Meets: Fast and Slow Trains Meet in Evansville, Indiana

On a sunny June day in Evansville, Indiana, two CSX mixed freight trains pass each other at the Cypress Dale Road crossing south of Howell Yard. Train #1 (southbound on the far track) features CSX 3344 leading a long 174-car mixed freight, with CSX 3418 serving as a mid-train DPU. Train #2 (first heard at 10:23 and first seen on the near track at 12:08) features CSX 3288 and CSX 3118 pulling a 113-car mixed freight north toward the yard. The southbound is initially crawling at a slothlike pace but begins to pick up speed after the much-faster northbound appears. Recorded in handheld fashion (so please excuse the occasional shakiness of the video) on June 7, 2020.
