One of the greatest things I've experienced as a Christian, next to being Baptised by my best friend and seeing my sons baptised, was hearing the music of Bill and Gloria Gaither.

One of the rare occasions we get to hear the beautiful, sweet and smooth alto voice of Mrs. Gloria Gaither.

This is so beautiful and I love it and no one can ever do these kind of songs like Bill and Gloria Gaithers. I cried thru it all because you sure never know when God will take your loved ones. I lost the love of my life of 60 years just 3 years ago and I tried to tell him day and night how much I loved him and he me. And now the Lord is with me always because He said He would be and I can only give God the glory for His love and mercy and grace and compassion He continually gives me day after day just when I need it the most.

I remember hearing this back in the early 90's and just learning not to take my home and mother for granted. I am disabled and never had a family of my own. Mom went home sixteen years ago yesterday and I gave up everything I knew in one week. Thank you Bill & Gloria for teaching me to live in the moment. Sandra Carsten

Really nice that Ivan Parker stepped in to sing Danny’s part in a very “Bill Gaither Trio” moment. Even though Danny was there, his illness had made his voice unsteady. So very, very special!

My mom and dad loved this version and we listened to it constantly when I was young. Hearing it again beings so many memories. My Dad died in 2006 and I miss him. Thank you, Bill and Gloria, for making this song. I cried through it today.

For those of us who are getting older, this song is a poignant reminder that all we have is now. I have a theory. You know how sometimes you don't feel like you're really as old as you are? I believe that's an evidence of eternity. Our spirit doesn't age; it just grows wiser. Our spirits are eternal, the only things in existence other than God, Who is also a Spirit, that do not fade away. I believe that's why I don't feel 60. Because I'm not.

Dear Gloria, I know you may never see my post on here but I've got to say that was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I could tell it came directly from you heart. I could tell that because almost everyone in the room was crying....me too. I would love to print that out and hang it on our livingroom wall for everyone to see and read. Thank you for sharing that with us all. Thanks for just part of your heart.

I am SURE this song was being sung among my peers in the mid-1980s! We were strict Mennonites, and we were getting married off one by one, and this was a favorite being sung at weddings/receptions. I left the Mennonites in 1990, so I know it could not have originated in the 1990s! I wonder if the Gaithers perhaps gleaned this song from an unknown writer elsewhere? I know other songs have been written and sung informally among Mennonites. Really good ones. Worthy of being sung by professionals.
