You can’t be serious with your overall take. The fixed so many issues compared to 2018. Smoother lighter Elephant print that’s closer to OG. The OG didn’t have tumbled leather do they changed that as it’s suppose to be closer to the OG. The Print isn’t as thick or cut higher up as well. The slimmed the collar. The 2018 is super fat and bulky looking. Not a bad shoe but if you have a good pair as I do.. they are noticeably better. I went through 3 pairs of the 2018 so I like that shoe a lot. But these were absolutely necessary after the White cement last year.

Those 2018s were trash. Horrible shape. If we’re being really honest out of the three that released since September 22 with the fire red three it’s by far the best of the threes consistency quality just look at that shoe is perfect. I have 88s. Have done comparisons.We are getting exactly what people asked for. No matter what people complain on the fire red three they said the elephant print was too dark. They made such a big deal about the white cement three elephant print that when I finally got my pair in hand, I spent one hour looking for one thing wrong. They were perfect other than the fit. They ran a little bit big and I still didn’t care what’s going to happen is going to stop making these if people keep complaining whether they buy them or not . Trust me. It’s almost what they’re doing now , it’s like here “ you bastards complain about everything we give you anyway here take it all at one time so we could be done with your resell 1st , appreciate never mentality.” I f with HGK for long time now , but I don’t think he realizes how crazy it sounds to knock a shoe and then say you still gotta have three pairs you know that makes somebody that would appreciate one pair feel real bad about the whole scenario is that person me and maybe maybe I might get three pairs too but the point is I appreciate each and everyone of them. @@luvlife2355 yes, if you compare the two. The feel alone is MUCH better on the 2024. Much more plush to the touch. Really, the only thing that isn’t exactly close is the cut of the elephant print. But I like how it is. The 2018 print thickness and how high it was cut was extreme to the OG. I think they did it well. These actually look like the 94 pair as well.

You’re wrong about the OG not having tumbled leather. Tinker Hatfield literally said he designed the shoe specifically with tumbled leather in mind, because he knew the shoe would be too heavy if otherwise. He also went on to mention how he didn’t know how consumers would feel about him putting certain materials on luxury models such as tumbled leather on the 3 and mesh on the 4, because he felt that consumers might feel cheated due to them receiving less. The OG did have tumbled leather, and all you have to do is look at a 1988 pair. Nike eventually switched to Durabuck after the 3s because the shoes lost their rigidity too quickly, but they still needed a lightweight leather substitute.

And A LOT of 2024 pairs have some decent detail in the leather that gives it a tumbled look but it’s not tumbled. It’s just leather. I have two different pairs of the 24’s and one pair is little more smooth and the other pair looks more defined and tumbled. But it’s not printed looking shit from 2018

People think tumbled leather is supposed to have a certain look because they grew up on the fake Nike leathers, when in actuality, the “tumbling” of leather is a process. A shoe can have tumbled leather and the leather grain could look flat as full grain leather that hasn’t been tumbled. So it’s best that people do their research. The OG did have an actual tumbled leather upper, not the embossed synthetic leather that most people associate with modern day tumbled leather.

Got my Shock Drop pair today. On the right shoe, the Nike Air is off center, the snitching is coming out, and the leather on the toe is wrinkled. On the left one, Nike Air is centered, no issues with the snitching and the toe leather is smooth. Super disappointed and sending these back and will try my luck with the general release.

I know, right? The collar was the fat thick collar on the 2018b that didn’t ever look good. The toe is more slimmed down. The leather is softer. The shoe is less bulky. They made drastic improvements on these if you got a good QC pair. I like the 2018 but these are an improved version over those easily. Gonna need 3 pair of these. My first pair from shock drop looks great.

Bro my pair was terrible. One of the shoes was crushed at the collar, but the box wasn’t crushed. The paint job is super sloppy, the cuts on the toe of each shoe is different and not straight on one. The midsole one of them is deformed a little and scratched .The elephant print is so light it’s not even there In certain sections. Glue stains are the least of my worries lol These should have been B-grades in my opinion. I’m not a nit picker at all, these are bad. But what can I do besides return them 🤷🏼‍♂️. First shock drop I’ve ever hit and I get the wonky pair

Mine had some QC issues for sure. Scuffs, glue stains and it looks like some padding on my left shoes tongue is missing. There was even a tear on the lid of the box. Pretty crazy considering how much they cost. I got the AMM 3’s that came out this year and for $5 more it’s 10x better in quality and presentation

The elephant print panel on the toe box are different sizes. Really contemplating on just returning them. I have to many pairs to be accepting unsat quality, especially for the price. If you got a good pair. Yes, they look much better than the 2018. The collar shape is slimmed down. the toe is slimmed. The shape isn’t boxy. The made the elephant print thinner and not nearly as high. The print is smooth and lighter like the OG.

Nike's quality control is SO TRASH!!!! I ordered 2 pairs of the Fear 4s online from Footlocker, THEY BOTH HAD STITCHING DEFECTS. I couldnt believe it. Ordered 2 pairs and not 1 good pair. I said I was going to pass on them in the first place, I guess that was a sign from God telling me I dont need them. $280 CAD plus tax which is like $315 CAD each, and both pairs had stitching defects, unbelievable.
