We had the same thing happen to us a few years and we live in a very nice area in CA. They broke into my 2015 truck during the day but there wasn’t anything in it they broke the passenger window and messed with the ignition so I had to have those fixed. Then my husband took his work boots off at the front door and he went to get them and someone had walked up and stolen them within 15 minutes. That was weird! Then a few months later my husbands brand new service truck was stolen right in front of our home. It had thousands of dollars of expensive tools inside of the box on the truck. The sheriff found it 5 miles from our home in the country burned up they had poured gas all over the inside and outside of the truck. It’s better to just move if you don’t feel safe. God Bless🙏🏻

Sorry you had this happen!! I know how it feels. Before we moved to our current house, we asked a cop friend of ours how the neighborhood was & if it gets a lot of crime (we knew it was in his patrol zone) …he assured us that it was one of the 3 least crime areas to live. UNFORTUNATELY, within the 1st year, we had our car broken into FOUR times!! BUT, the worst wasn’t our car, it’s that over the last 13 years, we’ve had people break into our house (several times while we were still home) Including recently when I was home alone & a homeless man crawled through a 6’ tall window & took a nap on our couch😳😱 Now, I’m disabled & mostly bed bound due to a stroke leaving me partially paralyzed on my left side, so I can’t fully defend myself (I was asleep when he entered & only woke up because he was snoring) THANK GOODNESS he wasn’t a murderer or a rapist…he just wanted a quiet place to sleep so he didn’t get picked on/assaulted or his stuff stolen while he slept.😭 I feel SUPER bad for him, but breaking into houses isn’t the best thing to do & can be incredibly frightening for the home-residents!! We have, over the years, increased security which has helped tremendously..until they find a weak spot & exploit it & we add an extra layer of security to cover the issue. We can’t afford to move, this is our best option & 🤞🏻this last upgrade will do the trick & keep out the bad for a long time to come!!!

Some advice from a law enforcement officer. Always always ALWAYS lock your car. No matter where you are how ever long your gone. Take your valuables (Camera equipment money electronics hunting gear etc) out of your car, truck when you go home for the night. Always park in a well lit area if able. Never give out personal information. As it may or may not be someone targeting you it may just be random. I've seen break ins on the same vehicle and homes because they just look to hold more expensive items. It's not normal to see things left behind though. Lastly get a surveillance system weather that's security camera doorbell camera or both. Next time (Let's hope there is no next time) if someone does break in you can get footage to show police and we can put out a description or maybe even Identify them. As we like to say #LockItOrLooseIt Stay safe you two.

You should have alarms on your truck, then find a secure place to live with lots of security cameras. It sounds like the person has it out for you as most people breaking into trucks always steal something. It maybe someone that knows you but wants to mess with you. Hugs and love to you both. I live a few blocks from a college. My truck gets "broken into" a few times a year. After the second time, I just don't leave anything of value in it, I leave the doors unlocked and put a note in the glove box that says "get a job". If you have comprehensive auto insurance, it should be covered. If you don't, it may be covered under your renter/homeowner insurance. In any case, you should get a police report - if whoever is doing it is hitting multiple cars in the area, they may increase patrols.

That sucks when you get you truck broken into. I had my car stolen 2 times. 1st time they drove it to the other side of the city before they ran out of gas. They did some damage to it. The 2nd time the same car that was damage was stolen from a garage as I was waiting for it to get it fixed. So it sucks. Now that we moved out to a smaller city I felt so much more relieved. By the way I love how Presley went straight to his mom first before you. Lol cute puppy.

Sorry they got into your truck again, that sucks ! I've had two cars stolen, one was totaled and the other one was stripped but I managed to put it back together. I know that sick feeling when it happens. The alarm I had put on my T-bird years ago notified me if the car was tampered with. Even if a big truck drove by and shook the car, it would tell me to check my vehicle. My current car has an alarm and LoJack. It's also garaged every night so that helps.
