If you are interested in me, my channel and my content and how we got here and how we're gonna go from here, then please have a listen to this whole video. I just wanted to say i wished you could transitioned smoothly to some other games, but unfortunately market is not good for gaming KZbin. I am also big RTS fan and i watched all of your RTS related videos but problem is that RTS games are kinda in same shit as World of warships (Starcraft 2 is dieing, Homeworld 3 was so bad that i couldnt even finish the game after that cringe of the story and Company of heros kinda bombed). Lets Plays are overcrowded and Tarkov and rest of battle royals are not for me. I wish you good luck in life and happy life in this backwater nation that we call home.

I have watched every wows video you have posted for 7 years or more. I quit playing myself three or four years ago. Your wows stuff is fantastic, I watched you play for a year before I started playing the game myself. I play like YOU play, it's kind of strange. I will watch all of your wows videos, stupid cards or not. But I have tried to watch you in other content and my mind instantly wonders. Dredge was good. Tarkov used to be interesting. But I am one of those guys you're talking about...it's kind of wows or nothing for me. I feel bad, but that's the way it is. I hope twitch pays you well enough to live well in case youtube falls through completely. You figure out what you need to do and then do it. Wows shouldn't be a death sentence to anyone. As a Great Grandfather aged 68 who still games on PC ( yes to me Jingles is young ) I would say that I don't take myself or the games I play too seriously , being relaxed and chill is the answer . When I play Warships I don't really bother what the rest of my team is doing I just concentrate on trying my best and not sucking too much , it's the same if I'm playing Tanks or Warcraft or Battlefield . Because of my age I have the reflexes of an arthritic tree sloth but I just plod on and enjoy , good luck and all of the best Flambino and I hope you get through this .

Hi Phillip, I am 71 and on the way out, still I play the game. Keep having fun as much as you can as I try to do myself. As for Flambass, sadly he cannot see the reason WG acts as they do. He just starts to have to manage his enterprise and it is a small bussiness. WG ia a mammoth and has to feed a lot of mouthes. So they kept only the graphic artists, released the very expensive game engine designers as such as today they cannot really change the game in a reasonable margin of spending. No hope to correct anything that went wrong.

At some point you become good enough to stand on your own merits and not really worry about win rate. I've hit that point after having x number of losses in a row in spite of having good games. Like tonight I had 4 straight losses in a row in an Asashio, despite being at the top of the leader board with about 150k each game. With all the bad players, and people having OP ships with the latest and greatest gimmicks (bells and whistles if you wish), it's just not worth the additional stress. Then you get the trolls who generally have something like a 45% WR complaining about your game play, even though you're trying to help them. And they then proceed to keep at the trolling several games later. Im older like you, and will rarely be a carry player. But I've improve from sub 50% land to about about a 52% WR player. And that's while all these trick ships have been added to the game. So I can hold my own in games most of the time, though once in awhile I still can throw a stinker in there. Best we can do outside of quitting the game is just to adapt, and try not to stress about it too much. Afterall, there is still some fun baby seal clubbing noob players in their newly bought OP gimmick ship.

Honestly if you go on the servers and start looking at the top clans that used to dominate each of the servers. You will find numbers like 650 days since their last battles on over half the members. Flambass is actually late to the party on leaving, but understandably as the game was apart of what he did for income so leaving it has got to be a harder decision than those of us who did it for just a couple hours of entertainment during the week. I left almost 2 years ago myself, and watching videos that guys like Jingles and Flambass post make me understand that it was the right decision. It's only getting worse.

Change is constant and inevitable. I've been watching KZbin for over ten years. Gaming on YT has changed a lot. You want to know how many of the gaming channels are still active? None. Jingles is probably the oldest channel still active. (Dunno wh3n he started. Found him during ships beta). Some went to Twitch when YT made it too hard to make their content. Some hate editing and just stream. Some just quit. Some died. It's sad and it hurts when they leave, but again, change is constant and inevitable. Nothing lasts. People need to evolve. You need to focus on number one. If you're unhappy or miserable it will start to effect everything in your life. Sometimes you have to purge those aspects from your life. Hang in there, man. Do your best to ignore the drama and haters. If you're not happy make changes. If that means dramatic changes do it. Your real fans will understand. Nothing last forever. I started watching you around 2016 when I started playing WOW and continued years after I stopped playing WOW. You have the staying power, and it has always been you, not the game. Take The Mighty Jingles. I quickly found myself not caring about the game and cared about the uplift his videos gave me. I am not saying be like Jingles but give us more you and less of the game. I think that is what you are trying and this new direction has been awesome.

Hi Flambino, What a difficult situation you are in. I have been watching your videos for over two years, and I have seen your regression to negativity over time. This process is completely understandable given the way WoW en WoT is developing. Here is my two cents, and I hope this resonates with a large part of your fanbase. I haven't watched you because you played WoW. I watched you because you give a very detailed insight into your tactics, in how your brain works to process data. You tell what you see and how you respond to it. And you are amazing at this. To clarify, not because you play WoW, it's because you guide me through your game plan, your adaptability. It is amazing how you can predict behaviour and act accordingly. Now my personal preference is grand strategy and strategy gaming. I have seen you play C&C Generals and SC2. 15 years ago I used to play C&C too but these RTS games were too shallow for me. I enjoy the Paradox games more. If I could steer you into a direction to switch your content to, it would be grand strategy because I think you would be fantastic in that genre. Games like Crusader Kings 3, HOI4 or even EU4. I admire your honesty, your self awareness when it comes to mental health and all I can say is. Good on you. You are a great human being and I hope one day you can find a way to deal with the anxiety, to make it non existent, and to live a carefree life. With a healthy relationship with your partner, friends, occupation. I'm glad you are vocalizing your thoughts and doubts. It shows character, it shows you have values and boundaries. And I only respect you more because of this. And I hope it brings you peace mentally, and more connection to your community. I've always been a lifelong potato in WoWS ever since I first played. I still have the ARP Kongou in port as more of a reminder. It has been about 2 and a half years since I stopped playing due to myriad factors. I'd probably say the top one was being blamed/judged for what classes I would choose to play on a certain day such as carriers. And then having to additionally add that I also enjoy playing other classes of ships (IJN Cruisers and Pan-Asian Destroyers are probably my favourite). Anyways, moving on from my grievances with the game. I've always enjoyed your content both on and off of WoWS. Generally more towards the latter, (the Apple Juice incident shall go down in history) and have enjoyed the hijinks you managed to get up to. I personally stopped regularly tuning in around when you started to play 'The Cycle: Frontier', probably due to a combination of more tasks to do with Uni, the game itself and just forgetfulness. I will make an effort to catch the next few streams you do though! In all honesty, I have no clue why I decided to write this. And to any of you who even bothered to read the first paragraph, let alone get this far. I thank you. All the best to you Flambass!

Man, the thing started, and it still is, A GAME. For you it became something more of a job because the content and all, but if the shit starts to be more of a pain to your well being just stop it. I'm just a casual viewer of the channel since 3-4 years, and also a casual player of WoWS (at a max. 2 hours a day) and i like your content for that POS game. A little clue is: if you aren't having fun making the content, we surely won't watching it; so relax and have fun playing the damn thing, it's a game after all (even if it's frustrating to see how has it fallen). Just wanted to say, I quit the game 2 years ago and stopped watching all content about it. Your punishment card stream vod got recommended to me on KZbin last week. It was hilarious and made me want to look at the game again. Now I'm playing with my wife and having a blast! Flambass my guy, I have been playing WOWs for 6 or 7 years now. I decided NOT to take this suriously along time ago. and I've never spent a dime playing. I play for me. To grind whatever line I'm working at the time. Now I only play about 1 to 2 hours a day maybe. So It doesn't effect me as it does you. I am in a clan now, but it's just a no pressure clan. The last clan I was in was so toxic and rude I almost swore off the game. I use it to just blow shit up and blow off steam. I have enjoyed your game play and allll your streams no matter the game. @Flambass, as someone who wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until I was 53, anxiety is something I can relate to when it comes to knowing something is wrong but not knowing exactly what to do about it. At the end of the day, the object(game or subject) can be crap, but if the presenter is great, people will still watch and listen. YOU are a great presenter. You can not only play, you can tell people why you do the things you do so they understand. I haven't played WoWs in at least a year, and honestly, no plans to go back. I still watch your videos, because you are entertaining and it's always amazing to watch someone who operates on another level. With that said, Wargaming has chosen their path, and there are large declines and a cliff in its future. I think one reason your other videos don't get as many views is because many probably see them as one-offs, not something that will be pursued, which becomes self actuating. If you want to do other things, do them, but with more consistency. Title the broadcasts as something that's up for consideration for continuing. ;TLDR if you want to do other content, do it with intent and people will follow. And I love the cards, it's hilarious and inspiring to see you still pulling off victories in the face of adversity.

i always questioned that about Wargaming games in general. I started playing WoT in 2013 i think, because my online gaming buddy (my own age, with work responsabilities and such) told me to install it. I downloaded it overnight and the next day we were suppossed to try it. We went for drinks instead, and he never installed the game. I started playing that game, and when WOWs was announced i tried the closed beta. I love playing the game, but i can only do it in short bursts. This isn't a game that i can fathom to play for hours a day. Teams don't give a shit. I've had weekends when i connect to play an hour or two, and i can get 10 defeats in a row. So i just say FUCK IT and don't play for days. The game loop itself is really short, there isn't that much to do in-game. I enjoy watching your videos and PQ's, and the Yugo montages, but this company brings the worst out of many people. Flamu, i.e., got me tired because he complains soo fucking much for sooo many years to this day. I remember him getting flown to a convention and still being shitty and toxic. You gotta make the best decision to you, if something makes you misserable, it isn't worth it, not even for the money, and trust me, i worked at a banking corporation for 8 years and the last 2, i had intrusive thoughts about having an accident so i won't have to show up at the office for a long time. And in no small part, that's the risk of monetizing your hobbies, which i also tried once and hated it. Just take care and think in yourself.

We get you and the frustration. Play how you like it, I'll keep watching the WoWs matches and Tarkov across my YT accounts. Thanks for the video. I know about the frustration with games. I gave up on WoWs a year ago because i got tired of it, the dumb changes , the community and had prior experience with such games heading in this direction so I decided not to bother anymore and quit while I was focused on that. I used to play DBD from 2017 to 2022....And reached red ranks each season. At one point it stopped being fun, started being frustrating, toxic, played mostly to win a match for the grind or make the other team lose or make the guy out of the 4 survivors whoever pissed me off that match just as pissed off with BMing . The changes and the specific made 4 man squads with broken perks and stupid balance changes sucked the fun out of playing most characters that were not meta. So frustration for a game I can understand and the way it is going. And when I was in the other position I sometimes wondered how my teammates can be worse than a code on a screen with an actual game bot doing better than them. Which led to more frustration and wasting time on a lost match. A suggestion: Mate i think you should give BeatSaber a try if you want to and have a VR headset. It is quite fun, i think your chat would have a good laugh watching you stumbling around. And it is quite physically intensive so an alternative to the gym loss of motivation. And you get to listen to music and train your reflexes at the same time.

I quit completely about 2 years ago now, and the player base was in the dumpster even then. I can't even imagine what it is like now. I wish some company would swoop in and buy the game from WG and revamp it to what it was in 2016-17. It'll never happen, but I miss the days of being in a large clan. Playing clan battles a couple nights a week and just constantly having new strategies going through my head even when I was at work. It's annoying how bad they screwed this up. At the end I used to come home excited to unwind and play a few battles to forget about the shit day I had. Then the game would piss me off even more than I already was. It was time to uninstall, and I don't miss it at all.

I quit about 3 years ago because I could see what WG was going to be doing - they did it to Tanks. They just followed their usual playbook and yep, I quit. I reinstalled it last week just to give it a shot, played 3 matches and uninstalled because fuck me... it's bad.

Frankly it's a testament to how good you are with your community that you've lasted this long with a game like WoWs. The ships may vary but the game is very repetitive. It'd be fun to see you use that gift of personality and skill in games that encourage interaction with other players. I can see you wreaking havoc (having fun) in games like DayZ (that style, not necessarily that game). Regardless, I'm glad you're taking a stand for your own sanity. It has to be fun. I found your channel not long after I started playing WoWs and watched a lot to learn better ways to play the game. You've always been entertaining and I enjoyed what you put out. Once subs entered the game I quit WoWs but still watched you for the pure entertainment. This is not the first time I've seen you struggle with the issues of WoWs and your burnout with everything WoWs. It's unfortunate that you, at least right now, are not able to find a good balance between your ability to have fun and enjoy your job and the pressures of a dying game and a demanding audience. Unfortunately, for the most part my interests have changed and I don't watch your channel very often. I know this is a wall of text but I do truly hope you can find a balance, whether it's with WoWs or some other content. I watch your WoW stuff for the strategy and tactics. I am not a computer games player. I didn't enjoy the toll cards myself, but it is your life: You do You! It did occur to me that you might be screwing up the team (I have done a lot of IRL teams) but as you say, monkeys could play better. So I suspect most (all?) of the players on your team didn't even realize you were doing daft stuff. So again I say: You do You! (and sod the rest of them) Life isn't a rehearsal, so do what you need to do to get through it, but have fun doing it.

You were a blast to watch back in the day, and again when you got into Helldivers and other new games. The cards are fun and crazy, but they would frustrate me if I was in your seat. I used to play a lot of War Thunder in 2016-18 & also followed WOT fairly closely. It always seemed to me like they were going blow for blow, trying to ruin their game & race to the bottom first. Wows was always such a contrast & with all the positivity i always thought about getting into it but never ended up doing that. Its funny to see now that its completely reversed. War Thunder is bigger than ever & WOT is still huge but somehow WOWS has driven itself into the ground first, despite the other two games having a 6-7 year head start in terms of bad decisions and wasting potential.

Flambass, your story sounds like my journey with Games Workshop for the past 30 years. I played Warhammer and every variation of their games for 3 decades. I was a product demonstrator for them and a play tester. They had the same attitude toward their player base and disregarded advice from some amazing people that were passionate and knowledgeable about the GW universe. At some point you just have to walk away. Don't feel bad, the sooner you realize the truth and can make the right decision the sooner you will get your energy and enjoyment back. Good luck.
