I'm surprised they aren't taking the aerial combat theme forward further and creating a walled off compound and calling it a Helidrome, and having aerial cockfighting matches. You could charge scrap for entrance to watch the matches and offer up a prize pool for the combatants. You could have copter vs copter, and even armed copter vs armed copter matches. Turn it into combat matches and gamble your asses off. Make it a thing rather than a lark.

What I like to do is set up a bunch of small bases around Bandit with SAMs and a few turrets to protect them inside of a couple high stone walls with spikes on the ground outside the stone walls and mines and bear traps on the ground outside of that. I connect everything with smart switches so that if I see someone buy a mini or Scrappy I can turn them on but don't leave them on all the time so that there's less chance of someone destroying them when I can't watch
