You should hang the capiz lampshade in your breakfast nook. It will match your pink SMEG fridge and the green cupboards in your laundry room

Great little haul, guys! I have that lime green vase and a matching one which is shorter and fatter. I bought them both in a florist shop here in Western Australia. It always amazes me when the same things are found all over the world. Love your puppies, they’re so beautiful 🐶🪻🌷🪻

With your lava lamp, if you leave it on all the time as a night light, the “lava” will discolor over time. Honestly, I don’t think that’s a reason not to use a great lamp, but wanted you to be aware if you super love it.

That green lamp is wonderful, but I lived through the 50s and 60s and don’t think that it did! Maybe the 70s, when Danish Modern was popular.
@HermioneChantal22 сағат бұрын
That sounds right! I think it’s a new re-creation of something from that era. Definitely more 70s than 60s vibe :)

Your mirror looks like an Arts and Crafts mirror as was the wash stand you would have liked for your bathroom. These are sought after items, beautifully crafted by hand in solid woods like oak. The mirror is gorge :)

watching your videos motivated me to do some diy and i completed the shower grouting yesterday. started a couple of days ago to allow t it to cure, inclusive of waterproof sealing on the grout. now i am thinking of doing the dry area of the bathroom as well…and maybe kitchen too 😂

I have been binge watching a lot of your past diy videos you've done on your home. I just have finally had my rotted floors replace and am now in the process of deep cleaning. I need to repair and paint my walls. Your videos have come at the right moment because I am thrifting, yard sales, or Facebook Market Place most of my furniture/décor. The best item I ever found at a thrift store was a Waterford Crystal vase that I paid $1.99 for it.

- Your prices are so much better than here in America, at least in my nook of the woods. Those two glass vases are probably hand blown as opposed to mass produced, look for the little "belly button" on the bottom, which is where it would have been cut. I liked everything that you bought and probably would have looked more in at the furniture.

I think the difference might be that these are charity shops rather than thrift store so they get the stock donated for free and the money they raise goes to the charity. Most of the employees in the stores are volunteer, although some companies employ a store manager. So they are not run for profit. I might be wrong but my understanding is that thrift stores are trying to turn a profit.

tea tree oil for the mirror sticker residue Hermione! it's like MAGIC! 🤩 just a lil cue tip and rub it on, sticker will wipe right off. it's life-changing lol edit: also! i feel like that gorgeous pink and green lampshade would look really cool upside down, like as a ceiling light sconce 😅
@brinagotsued19 сағат бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about the lampshade 😊. Also, nail polish remover or acetone works great for getting rid of sticker residue, just be careful of what the item is since it can damage plastic and some varnishes. No problems on glass, though.
@maggiebrown969019 сағат бұрын
Using a hair dryer to heat up the sticker before you begin scraping at it works wonders with no residual yucks.

Plain old peanut butter melts sticker glue. Let it sit for 20 minutes and wipe/wash that sticker away
@PattieVanC14 сағат бұрын
If you haven’t gotten the sticker off the mirror maybe try this. Lay the mirror down & put a damp paper towel to sit a maybe 10 minutes, you should be able to easily rub the rest of the residue off. The reason I suggest lay the mirror down is to not let any water run down from the damp/wet paper towel. It’s always worked for me off glass jars, lamps & glass in picture frames. I’m happy you’re back to posting regularly again. Best wishes for you & Hayley

How nice! You have a lot of charity shops. Here in Brazil we have few in the cities and people have a certain prejudice against clothes (saying they belong to dead people) or furniture because they are old. I love it precisely because it's old hahahaha I loved seeing each shop, the town and the purchases. What a shame they didn't take the blue coffee machine. It's beautiful! Hugs, girls ☺

Sitting down the camera goes in and out of focus, hard to watch. Great finds, thanks for sharing. I sometimes to go charity shops where I live but they are truly so expensive.
