Gotta be honest, while I'm not the biggest PvP guy, I've always had this part of me that's willing to give a game a shot if it had a good main theme... With little to no instrumentals (and I usually like instrumentals), vocals, a catchy tune, and the fact that it gives off this "Ragtag team of bounty hunters" vibe, I'm already interested in trying it!

hunt: showdown is a pvpve game (mostly pvp after you've played for a few hours). you spawn on a 1km x 1km map with up to 11 other players. your goal is to find 3 clues at different compounds across the map, which narrows down the location of the boss (the bounty target). once you've found 3 clues and know where the boss/bounty target is, you go to the boss, kill it, and banish it back to hell. once the banishment begins, everyone across the map is aware of it and knows the location. after the banish ends, the boss drops a bounty token. the bounty tokens are the objective. pick them up, then get out of the map by going to 1 of 3 random extraction points along the edges of the map. other players obviously have the same goal, which is where the pvp comes in. its a very hard game. all weapons 1-shot kill to the head if you're close enough, death is permanent, and the game keeps a lot of information from you: you dont know how many other players are in the game, you dont know who is on whose team (other than your own), and you dont know how many people are alive at any given time. on top of that, hunt is built around its sound. hunt spoils you in the audio department. you will never play another game without comparing it to hunt. everything you do makes noise, and noise is the key to finding and fighting other players. for example, you usually dont shoot zombies unless you have to or you want to attract attention, because gunshots can be heard across the entire map. any other questions lmk and ill respond if i see them 😁

tarkov is a lot like eve. its fun but you basically need to make it your 2nd job to be any good at it. i bought it and i like the majority of it, but the 2 things i hate that turned me off it are the pointlessly complex ammo types, and the fact that you basically need to buy the 150$ version to even stand a chance. 40$ is a lot for a game thats been in EA for years in the first place. 150$ is just a scam for any game in my opinion.
