Heard That! I was lucky to grab this gem as a White Label!!! I've "Excursions" on CD and LP [First Pressing/Edition, not WL, but still remember buying it as soon as the Indie Store opened at 9 am, and as per usual, Tuesday (sometimes they, and others, would have Midnight Sales when HUGE albums dropped. Lol, I still recall each event and can tell when and where I bought either one or several, albums. Like my bookcases and Journal/Quarterly Cubbies, my record crates, cubbies, all my old Techs DJ Bags, and in-store displays (from, sadly, closing sales) overflow with all types of vinyl. WLs, LPs, EPs, 12s, 45s, ranging from randomly discovered gems like First Editions from overseas and several decades old, found the Proper DJ Way: 6th Sense and "sniffing" out wax from the craziest sources, locations in every city, not only Record Stores but when in a new Town or City, we head for those places first [still do] and then we'd head to Indie Stores; Only! The best thing about these Tunes, aside from the joy they bring, are the memories. The hunt, searching for hours, finding "That One" prepping for the weekend & mixing the set-lists, playing as a Resident, or as a Headliner, all the way to seeing your favourite Artists live... It's A Fact. Law. Proof. And Will Remain As Such: House Is NOT Music, House, IS A FEELING! "What's your name? Where ya from? Whatcha on? Reach for the lasers, Safe as Fuck!" What an incredible song - incredible vibe. Tubby snare - phasey synths, held just that extra longer. Maybe it's due to only knowing Felix's version, I think he was right to slow it down a bit. Where did the chimey guitars go in production? Time to bring them back! Thanks so much for posting - great memories. And such a French house vibe when that bass drops - never gets old!
