We installed a 24V solar system in the smallest Outdoors RV EVER | '24 ORV 19MKS

What an upgrade! Our customers from Canada went from tent camping to this new Outdoors RV 19MKS! They had us install a super powerful 24V Victron Energy off-grid solar system underneath the dinette. This is the smallest ORV we've done a solar upgrade in - but Tom fit everything underneath one side of the dinette - including 24v Victron Energy lithium batteries... we're proud of this one.
This is a new floor plan from Outdoors RV that allows you to get in anywhere - National & state parks and serene boon-docking spots. ORV made the small space usable with the murphy bed! It's genius. We love this floor plan.

This is us! This is solid for us so far. Have gone 48 hours testing the system without shore power. According to the system monitor we will get several days at a time. Winter camping may be different but we have options. The fact the pass through has none of the system components it leaves room for all our gear. The install is meticulous and the back and forth international communication was great. When upgrades may be needed, south to Bend we go. You guys are the best! Now to make a Nespresso and drain a dribble of power. Ps we have a great tent for sale.

How did you route the wiring (HDMI cable) from the Cerbo GX to the Touch 70?

Great to see another take on a 19MKS install! For the record, our 1,500 watts of solar feeding 810 Ah of lithium is an incredible amount of power in our 19MKS. We've experienced more clouds than sun lately, and have still never fallen much below 50% state of charge. Yesterday we finally had our first real opportunity to see how far the battery bank could recover from several days of heavy overcast. Woke up to about 45% on the batteries, and even after a cloudy start to the day, we hit 100% SOC by about 4 PM. So we heated water on electric! LOL Woke up today at 78% state of charge and even though it's VERY heavy overcast again, we're warming ourselves up with our electric space heater since the forecast for tomorrow is bright sunshine. Our MYT system is allowing us to use the weather forecast to save on propane. 😃 Look for our upcoming video about the great system MYT installed within the next few weeks. We've boondocked a LOT over the past 20 years, but have never had such a freeing experience before. Thanks so much,Tom & Ely. ❤ There's solar... and then there's MYT solar! First - thanks again for answered my question about hitch weight on your 19mks. A couple questions: - Considering the proximity - do you hear any noise from the Victron equipment? - When using your propane for heat - do you experience any condensation? Thanks again! Safe travels 👍😎

@@effortless_choice The Victron gear is very quiet, with only the faint sound of a fan when it gets hot out. Never bothers us. We haven’t had our rig in cold enough conditions to need the furnace yet, but we can tell you from past experience that a propane furnace that vents outside produces very little condensation inside the rig. That said, things like showering, doing dishes, and breathing do create a fair amount of moisture. So we always leave a window slightly cracked, and a roof vent fan on low overnight, and have never had a problem with condensation as a result.

Is there a 12v vehicle charging option with the 24v Rv system?

Yes there is, Victron makes a 24|12 Orion DC to DC charger which we have in our rig for a charge from our 3500 truck. Its their older style vs the new Orion XS 50. Word is they'll be releasing a new Orion XS 50 for 24v systems soon
