Our church on Maui is thinking of making our clothing exchange events mobile with a used full size tour bus. Awnings would go the length of both sides. I worry that there is not much support for the awnings considering they are being attached to a bus rather than wood. It can be windy on Maui. How far out do the awnings extend? Any other ideas for the bus or a different brand of awning?? Steve

Just curious, all of the carefree awnings I’ve seen recommend that the “trim” be anchored to the framing. Do you feel like the sheet metal of the bus (with caulking) will be enough to hold the awning long term? Also, do you have a “non-Facebook” link for the awning supplier?

It isn’t bolted into the sheet metal there is a top band with steel behind it that it is bolted into.
