One thing about this game is i just wish they let bates kick more, no real point on going for 4th downs it doesnt matter its preseason, but we have ???'s at kicker and need to make sure he is ready for the season

Lions go for it on 4th down more than any other team right now. It’s important to put these players in that situation any chance we get before they are in it during the regular season. The W doesn’t matter in pre-season. It’s all about placing these guys in situations so they learn and grow.

@@pistonsgeek409 yes but I don’t want to be FORCED to go for it because of more inconsistent kicker play, if all goes well not many starters will be out this year on offense and our starters are used to the 4th down lifestyle that the lions thrive in. I’d rather focus on a player that’s going to start (and if he is good maybe win us games) than backups that hopefully won’t get very much playing time, I respect your opinions though, go lions :)

​@WoodyWard He has more experience than Hooker but I don't think he is better. Hooker couldn't even practice most of last year because he tore his ACL in college before the draft or he probably would have been a first or 2nd round QB

Again so glad this was just a pre-season game, if this was regular season we’ve would’ve been cooked. This game was boring, even if you’re a Giants fan, you have to admit this game was really bland as whole. But I can see a lot of the Lions defense rookie are without a doubt making the team.

Yea Detroit is a Super Bowl caliber team.. they're thinking about preseason in only one way.. and that's to evaluate their depth.. the wins or losses doesn't mean anything.. championship championship roster caliber teams in sports operate that way.. the trasher type teams always come out with more to prove in preseason.. it's just how it goes..
