We Know the Way - One-line Multilanguage (37 Versions)

A new one-line multilanguage from Moana! We're still missing some versions, and many are in bad quality, but I'll re-upload once we get them all in HQ. The languages are organized by "families" so that you can appreciate the linguistic similarities within a language group. So, the language groups go in the order of:
1. Germanic (Dutch, Swedish, English, etc.)
2. Slavic (Russian, Czech, Polish, etc.)
3. East Asian (Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc.)
4. Miscellaneous (Languages that don't fit into any other group like Finnish, Greek, etc.)
5. Romance (French, Spanish, Italian, etc.)

I love the Finnish one. When the Estonian version was played i cracked up, because they said "me olemme taivas ja kuu", it means "we are the sky and the moon", in finnish.

Something special about the Russian one, especially the slightly different harmony when they sing about the testimony of the ancestors!!! I've listened to a few languages and the Russian has a change there for some reason that just hooked me ❤

Yes, the Latin Spanish is found under the name "Saber volver". It's actually a better translation than the Castilian version (don't know why the Castilian writers removed the 'returning home' aspect!!!!).

It's because Austronesian languages (Malay, Filipino, Hawaiian, Tokelauan (which this song is originally in)) follow consonant-vowel sound patterns. Japanese does this too, and some linguists are researching Japan's pacific islander connection. If you ever study Japanese, their kids are taught to read characters in this order (like how we learn the alphabet) : ka, ki, ku, ke, ko sa, (shi), su, se, so ^You see consonant-vowel patterns.
