Reddick definitely seems like the perfect coach for this team. Watching AD play the way he played last night hitting 4 threes and just dominating with 35 points just like that reminded me a lot of how AD was like in 2019-2020 in our first year with him and the year we ultimately won championship. That's huge. Ham couldn't get that out of him and Reddicks system of movement leading to more open shots and better spots for AD really has showed. Also Dalton Knecht yesterday my gosh dude was amazing. 35 points inlcuding 20 straight points in 4th/OT! On 8/13 from 3. Ik it's preseason but he's that good from 3 he's lethal and i can't honestly remember the Lakers had a player that good from 3 where they could get that hot and just not miss. DLO has been great from 3 over 40% but Dalton very similar to MPJ, Klay, Korner, even Reddick himself where there the top 1% in 3 point shooters. Biggest steal of draft and i think he's the best player of this draft class. Will be able to help us immediately with his ability to shoot from anywhere, length, attack basket etc. A must in our rotation.

Dalton showed that we do not need to trade for a shooter like Lavine. AD showed that he can spread to floor when he has a big in the lineup with him. Aside from Bronny low scoring which is only a confidence thing, he is better than JHS is right now. With an impressive +17 which was game high. Cam reddish looks like he’s gaining more confidence offensively. Max has been impressive and Austin reaves is stronger. Gabe Vincent shows flashes however takes too many 3s. Dlo can still play make. But if his shots not falling idk what else he can do because his defense is still bad overall, but last night was good.

I'm on the other side of a AR trade...I think that if Knext turns into what we think then we keep AR. It's about having good players and a complete team and having chemistry. And AR has team friendly contract to keep him for years. AR offers an entirely different skillset than DK4. AR is more of a combo guard (PG-SG) while DK4 is a wing (G-SF). They can complement each other.

Reaves is expendable not because of Knecht but because his skillet is too redundant alongside Dlo. He's a little taller but Austin doesn't do anything better than Dlo, not even defend. The Lakers have needs and Reaves would be a valuable trade piece in order to get a player that would fit better with the team. There's no reason to be married to Reaves when he's not an all star player, especially if you can get an all star for him and other assets.
