The Cutlass probably is a good save, as the underside shots & interior show its really an unmolested car(though underhood may say different). I'm betting its probably not even a 100k mile car, though the last shots with the hood loose does probably mean the engine is seized. HINT- HERE is a GOOD one to do a short series on regarding clean out/up, maybe even buff the paint. Olds rally wheels the only way to go on this one.

The Cutlass is in pretty nice shape, if it were my choice, I think I would go with rally wheels. Guess I’m an old truck kinda guy, the C-10 is on the top of my list. Even with the six cylinder, nice solid looking truck. White bumper would look better for sure! Thanks for saving them!

You found some wonderful original vehicles there! Don't apologize for paying too much - if it's what you want and it makes you happy, it's the right price. More and more I am coming to really appreciate these original survivor cars - I got so burnt out on car shows with shiny rows and rows of tri-five Chevys, Mustangs, etc. etc. way back in the 1980s. But to go see these types of survivor cars that are still pretty much all original, that is so cool. Most of us just don't have the time or resources to do a full restoration on a 50-year-old car, which can easily run into the low 6 figures. But these types of survivor cars are still affordable for most of us, which is great. So thanks for saving these and making them available to the rest of us - now to the rest of us out there reading this, don't just sit there, get to it, buy one of these and get working on it! I'd love to have that Rambler wagon that was rescued on this trip (many of these were still in use when I was growing up), but I am too far away from you and I do have a line on my dream A body car - a 1969 GTO 400 4 speed - that I am planning on buying from a friend (has been sitting in his dad's back yard since the 1980s). This will probably be my last car project which is good since it's been on my bucket list for many decades.

Nice saves on both vehicles. The C10 is my favorite style of Chevy truck although I haven’t owned one. Second favorite is the square bodies and I have a 73 C30. The Olds is awesome. Sometimes a guy has to dig deep to save one and I commend you for doing so

Around 2000 a family friend gave me 2 1971 Olds Cutlass'. Both were green, one a 2 dr & one a 4 dr. Sold them both for $400. They were both good, straight cars w/paperwork & I remember not being interested in them AT ALL. Just some junk to haul away. Sold them to a guy who loved Oldsmobile. Just 1 of many dumb things I did w/cars. For the last 10 years I make sure everything I buy finds a home unless no one wants it.

I had quite a few of those 60 Chevy Trax and love them very much. Back then I pick him up for like 50 bucks but of course he always had to have a clutch something someone didn't do and didn't care to do... If it's a three on the tree there's no speed shifting it gets stuck between gears .......

I've got a 71 Cutlass S 2dr post that's code 42 Palm Green,just a shade off Lime Green. Has factory black interior and was a 3 on the tree w/Chevy 6 cylinder,manual brakes and steering! I'd go w/SS II rallyes painted body color and black interior on your Supreme

I was a teenager when that Cutlass was new, GM used that green on everything from 70-72 and Malibu/Camaro/Vega size cars except Cadillac. Yes when it's fresh up close it looks great. I believe originally it was Lucite paint. My first 70 Monte Carlo was the same green w/green interior and a white vinyl top

My dad had a 71 Chevelle in that green color. The previous owner wanted to repaint the car, sent his wife out with the paint code to get touchup paint. Well, she being cheap, instead went to KMart and got avocado appliance paint instead. :-(

That was one of the few we and the scrap guy didn't end up with. It was a 1937 or '38 Chevrolet. Unfortunately it had laid on its side for decades before being tipped back upright. The entire driver's side was gone. Someone working on a similar project did buy it for parts.

It appears that Mr. Goodpliers talks up these vehicles to be able to turn them for a profit. The trouble with restoring a vehicle is that you have to put $50,000 in them to be able to sell them for $20,000 so doing a verbal restoration is far cheaper than an actual restoration. Mr. Goodpliers is just gathering vehicles to resell as parts cars and some project cars. I think that this is how he supports himself.
