Two men who can easily and quickly spit out the manufacturers of their cameras, lenses, lighting attachments and all of it's abilities in the light of day and darkest of nights, to include batteries and how long they last, but didn't read the dimensions of a tent for a giant of a man that can't clear the ceiling of a Tudor shack nor acknowledge the dimensions of a British clothes dryer. It has to be some sort of residual presence that goes through ‘their’ routine every morning at 5:00am. I’m sure if you were both there at 5:00am again that you’d probably hear the exact same door opening and footsteps from someone in the past just going through their routine over and over again. What ever it was it didn’t even notice the pair of you. It’s a little sad when you think about it, it’s like a ghost from the past stuck in a time loop? Well, that’s my theory anyway. I loled so much at the tent situation! Joe and Elliot have the best chemistry! Keep it up lads!

I was thinking more along the lines of a sort of pause button. The place is in a suspended or pending state. Their mere presence causes the change which makes activity start. Not so much stone recordings as maybe the change in humidity, barometric pressure, even precaroius balance is changed when someone comes in. These cause shifts and setlling and thumping, but just because a person came in.

Who else would like to see more camping episodes? I can't get over the fact you've got two super intelligent guys planing a camp out in a haunted place, and they bring the most inappropriate tents! Did their kids go shopping for them? I have a theory about the foot steps coming down the hall. Many years ago a woman had a shift that started at five in the morning. (I bet she kept that shift for ten, twenty plus years.) She would arrive on time going to the break room first to put away her lunch and coat before starting her rounds. I believe if Elliot & Joe set up a camera in that hall, at five in the morning those same footsteps would happen again.

I’ve always preferred what I would call ‘conservative’ or ‘remote’ investigation techniques, I think they are rather melodramatically called ‘abandonment’ where you are. Removing the human or interactive element reduces all those psychological effects and a lot of annoying noise and moving camera pollution. I’ve often left an emf meter with a locked camera to see any interactions that may be generated.

Best part of any footfall sounds people seem to capture in these places, they always are without the crunchy sounds that you would expect to hear because of all the stuff all over the floor, you can hear it when the boys walk so I always wonder if the sounds you are hearing are almost like recordings from the past, very poltergeistish and very unnerving! The sight of the two of you trying to sleep in one beach ball gave me the biggest giggles I have had for weeks, needed that pure genius. Think Eliot should have sleapt propped against a wall like a vampire in his tent. But guys please check all your corners before you go lights out for a kip inside a thin and doubtfully waterproof nylon body bag, seriously I worry. Great idea for an experiment and a great video, hope that you pursue that format again because the longer you do spend on any site the better.
