I'm loving this album. Fantastic songwriting and those gorgeous string arrangements. You guys' reactions seems a bit confused. When listening to "Pretty Boy", you criticised Noel for trying too hard to be trendy and modern sounding. But then when talking about "Easy Now", you criticised him for sounding too much like the Beatles and Oasis. Saying that he's unaware of how music had moved on and that he only listens to his own music (which is complete horseshit btw). So which is it? At least be consistent with your criticism. No hate btw guys, I generally enjoy your videos but this one has left me sort of confused.

Amazing album and the best of his solo releases IMO. I've been an old school Oasis fan from the mid-90s and I have no trouble with Noel following his muse and making great music that doesn't sound like Oasis. One thing you guys miss is that sometimes you need to sit with an album through several spins before you pick up on what an artist is putting down. A great album sometimes requires some time to bore itself into your brain. There are earworms throughout, you just need to let the worms wiggle in with a few more listenings. Took me about 5 listens before I fell in love with the album and its beauty finally revealed itself to me. Pretty Boy is the only track that doesn't quite reach the heights the other tracks do. With that said, I've watched many of your previous Oasis videos and enjoyed the journey you guys took. You're just 180 degrees wrong on this one.

All for opinions and music opinions are subjective but i think you've put the record on expecting to hear an oasis record. You mention that you were getting no earworms. A lot of the songs are very catchy on first listen. It seems that unless theres a big guitar riff you are struggling. Dead To The World is an epic. Im not exactly sure what he needed to do to please you guys and you seem to contradict yourselves by saying he tries too hard to be edgy or is stuck with the Beatles influence. the album has so many memorable moments with first class production and vocals. But like i say opinions are subjective. The album btw has had great reviews.

This was a waste of time. I have no respect for this Arias and the Nation guy and his taste in music. These are top-notch songs, well written, with great musicianship and production. Noel has made it clear he's not going to go back to writing "Oasis-y" type songs again and you'd think he would know that. Stick to Liam's cheap Oasis knock-off songs then. By the way, I like both of the Gallaghers, so this isn't a personal thing for me, but Noel was always the driving force behind that band.

Noel wrote all of it during lockdown, and I’m sure whatever led to his recent divorce was probably going on during that time too. Put that together along with him being quoted as saying this is a reflective album that looks back at his Manchester roots it really does explain the context of these songs. And when was the last time you heard anyone pay homage to the La’s in any song? But Instead of praising it you guys mocked it. A lot of people are now going to discover the La’s music because of Noel’s lyrics. That’s a good thing. I also think It’s ridiculous to trash the album because it doesn’t have enough guitar solos. Hineslty i feel chasing yestwrday was his best album (nghfb) and this is an on par second its just the type of music that puts it a tad behind (on some of the songs) but chasing yesterday felt like the next oasis album because it almost is as most the songs are from oasis but didnt make it out for whatever reason im not completely sure. But this new album feels like a real noel album that feels a bit personal and i can really connect with most the songs. What people need to realise is liam is trying to do oasis with something new and noel is trying to do somrthing new with a little bit of oasis (tbh idk if thats what hes trying to do but thats what it really feels like and i love it). So noel makes this new album with personal lyrics that connect the audience and honestly sounds great even without lyrics and hes hated for it just because it doesnt sound like oasis? Honesty im rambling a bit cause im a bit pished but i think i got the point across 😂

I am so confused with this. Because I think Council Skies is a big improvement from Who Built the Moon and also some parts of Chasing Yesterday. You guys probably need to broaden your musical horizons because some of the comments about Hallmark movie music, and whale sound, etc are just unfair. Some of the songs like I'm Not Giving Up Tonight, Dead to the World, Easy Now, Open Your Doors - See What you Find are incredible songs. These are life-reflective songs, these are not some parody of Oasis songs that Liam is doing and fooling people into liking. I dont this sort of criticism for Liam when he has 3-4 good songs in his album and the rest are just filler. Noel actually broadened his musical horizons and Council Skies is a just a better overall album than C'Mon You Know from Liam but I dont know it just seems to much bias for Liam at this point.
