“New worlds to explore, doors open at our finger tips” I just realised than line is about the uncharted waters of the world you discover and “the darkness will leave my life transformed” is meant to talk about the changes you overcome as you progress and your mental and physical health deteriorate as you go deeper I also love how some of the lyrics give some backstory, you were a nobody who was ignored and went on the voyage to earn some fame, at least that’s what I assume
