I totally agree Ray. They looked really good! Too many turnovers but that’s to be expected Especially with the young players. They’re nervous as Hell not to make any mistakes and that’s what always leads to making more mistakes. (Funny how that works) Because as a young player. [ You know this Ray ] They know this might be their only shot and not only can they not make any mistake, they need to make a play to gets coaches attention. They also have to prove when there’s in injury (& there’s always injuries in a 82 game season) that they play well enough now, to get called up. Also, some are auditioning for other teams as well. This kid who played for Ohio State Camden Thieving looked really good and I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t sign him to entry level deal? Another team will pick him up, he’s a shifty player and playing for Ohio State for 3 years says to me that he has the talent, he just needs a shot.

A few things that showed up in this game,that we saw constantly last season. Islanders score and seconds later,the other Team scores. Pelech and Pulock got smoked down the middle for a Goal. Other then that, a choppy game that eventually even out. the Russian looked awesome.

Good 🌄, Gil how are you? The Islanders got off to a solid start by beating The Devils 4-2. Maxim Tsyplakov looked pretty good. The Islanders held The Devils to very few shots on the 2nd half of the game. Kyle McLane is paying attention to JG PAGEOUT, just to name a few. It's good to 👀 them back on the 🧊. So far, I was wrong when I said Patrick Roy didn't work them like dogs. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. The Islanders are working on their PK HAPPY 🎂, MILAN TESHI. Gil,nice to see wahlstrom skating better. We’ve seen him,lee and jgp play well together in the past. I hope st. Patrick isn’t going to try to force holmstrom into the top six. Good first game, still wanted to see duclair with barzy and Bo. Hopefully Tuesday

We'll see if he makes the roster. If he does, I get the feeling he'll be the 13th or 14th forward on the roster. So glad it was preseason...wth was Palmieri thinking on that empty net. He was right in front of the net and passes to a covered guy. No worries, preseason. Overall, thought after the first we played pretty well. Maxim Tsyplakov was just okay IMO, turned puck over on PK resulting in goal. He made a nice play to Gauthier, not a great skater...seems weak on his edges. Maybe nerves unsure. He deserves another look for sure though. Nice to see us compete, most guys played with Juice which is great to see so early. Go Islanders!

Hi Gil! Hope all is well! Devs played many veterans and we played a half team and we play well? Not bad. Max looked good I hear --maybe he is a find! My Center ice package hasn’t started yet so I could not see the game. I’m thinking Roy will have them well conditioned and will have them in good positioning to play well. Solid win because many Dev regulars played. Islanders hockey is back! Gil, I just want a competitive team--the lack of physicality petrifies me!! Silly Q for you Gil--if Matty plays against the Rags and Rempke plays--does Rempke return the favor? In my eyes if Matty is badly overmatched-what’s the point?

I hope Matt does not drop the gloves with Rempke in a preseason game. It's not necessary for either of them. I think we will see Martin in at least one of the next two games. Do isles have an actual rookie b team to put out there? Some guy named theising i never heard of scores so there is that. And odelius is here for camp then headed back to europe longshot to make louzer's you must be 35 or over roster my guess? Probably bad news for lennox Lennox should be given a fair shot in camp as the old goalies take up crease time.
