It could also be that they send several videos at once to their editor (they likely record several videos when they do record) and some of them only require a little editing, so those get sent back first...and, therefore, posted first; as it'd be easier to simply put a video on YT instead of sitting there and trying to weave the continuity together (say the referenced episode (like Chill running low on balls) was still in the editor's possession and was taking a while to edit), I could see the guys preferring to have a regular release schedule (with some minor continuity errors) over videos in order, but on a longer schedule (instead of one week between releases, two or three weeks).

So you could potentially set each other up for a terrible team or it could backfire and your team is bad!

Why don't you do a variation of this? Push-and-pull. You both choose left, right, or middle. If you both choose the same side (or middle), you take that side. If you pick opposite sides, you both take the middle Pokémon. If one of you picks a side (left or right) and the other picks the middle, you both take the side.

Recommendation: scarlet/violet 30 minute level challenge. Catch as many pokemon as you want in 30 minutes, but the final team must have 2 babies, 2 mid stage and 2 full evo. Single stage count as babies. No lengends, full evo two stagers count as full evos

Idea for a VS. You both get to choose ANY 2 Pokemon, and then you both have to choose the First Seen Super Effective against Each 1 of your opponents choices, but also the First Seen 4x Weak to Each 1 of your opponents choices. For Example, if QuickGG chooses Blastoise and Dragonite. Then Chillin has to choose the First Seen Electric or Grass because of Blastoise, however Chillin must also choose the First Seen Ground, Rock or Fire. Then Chillin must also choose the First Seen Rock, Ice, Dragon or Fairy because of Dragonite, however Chillin will also have to choose the First Seen Fighting, Bug, Grass or Dragon. Obviously Chillin's First 2 choices can be ANY Pokemon he wants.

Battle Idea: Blind Vs Blind Use the 3 started method. On your turn, you pick 1 of the pokemon, however, you are given nothing. You pick completely blind, no skips. You do however, get 1 peek, where you can look at your 3 choices and choose who you want. Random moves and abilities as always, and no evolving your choice, you get what you get.

Here is an idea for a challenge. Each of you get a set of starters and select one from it. You compare types. The winner of the type battle gets to keep the pokemon and the loser has theirs selected (from their own set of 3) by their opponent. On a tie neither get to keep their Pokemon, and have to choose from the remaining two in their set of 3. This is a more strategic game of type elimination.

Challenge Idea: Lock Stock Challenge You each take turns viewing a set of 3 Starters. You select one of them to Lock In. Once you have 3 Mon Locked in you then both have to choose 1 of the Locked In trio. Ex. First set, Chilln you Lock In Flareon. Second set you Lock In Sceptile. Third Set you Lock In Groudon. Your choice is now Groudon, Sceptile, Flareon, then Quick(The one who didn't Lock In these 3) gets to pick one of the Remainders. Quick Locks In 3 and then Chooses One for the Team and Chilln gets to pick one of the 2 Lock Ins left over. Repeat until the Teams are built. No Skips and no Max Evos.

Whoever bids the highest picks a Pokemon and the other person can’t take anything. So you can bid up so the other person spends more money if you think they have something good. But you might get stuck with trash if the other person stops bidding.
