You should make Carlie an indoor pet when you build your house She is no Livestock guardian dog I don’t know where you got her from but with her handicap her previous owner should of had her adopted as indoor pet with a yard! Aren't you worried that Carly could possibly get an infection in her incision from being in the dirt and all. Or sick because it's so terribly hot. We had to keep our female dogs in the house after surgery, to make sure they didn't pull the stitches out, because they hurt. And to keep them from infection. I'm surprised the vet didn't mention anything to y'all. Hmm 😢😢. I am so sorry for the loss of the baby goat. They are so precious and so tiny. Keep up the great work 👍. I love your videos. Glad Carly did well but she needs to be kept in a clean environment so her incision doesn’t get infected. With his many female, goats won’t you need another buck, you could keep one of the new babies since it’s not your bloodline. The friendly little boy goat should have the name Batman for the markings on his face..

We used one of those self sticking ace bandages to wrap around our girl to keep her from licking her incision site. It worked pretty good, you might want to cover with gauze, under the ace bandage as a extra breathable barrier against dirt.

Please put Carley in area to her self for about week till she is back on her feet!!! And please go to to google and do ur daily research on how to take care of all ur animals as new animal parents we had to do that!!! Have had several female dogs spayed and they need pain meds routine for couple of days to keep her comfortable!!!!! And keep her in cool isolated place with clean ,dry bedding or straw till stitches healing better!!!!! We have been through this for years and r still learning!!! Keep reading on animal care please!!!!!

My car quit working. Battery is dead. My key fob won't even open the door & I can't seem to get my key to unlock it either. I lost my husband a few years ago. Sure wished he was still here to help me do things I'm unable to. Anyways...it's wonderful that you can give things away that will help others out. Carly shouldn’t be laying on the ground. Fresh healing incision shouldn’t be exposed to dirt that naturally has bacteria, germs. I would give her pain medication since she hops when she walks and that’s got to hurt. Treat her as if she were a human who had a c- section, she will have pain. Hope you get your truck soon. Sorry you lost one of the babies.

Those baby goat are adorable. But they do grow up so I don’t want any. As for Carly she should be inside where she can be comfortable and clean. That dirt getting into her thru the stiches is an infection ready thing start. And you need to check on her a few times a day to make sure her incision is healing, not getting infected. And it wouldn’t hurt to clean it a few times a day with peroxide.

No you do not want to be cleaning her incision a couple times a day because it will not heal up properly and I know this from my own experience way too many people here think they are doctors

If you leave her laying in the dirt she may get a very bad infection,stitches do not prevent infection.

CARLY NEEDS A PLACE WHERE SHE CAN KEEP HER STITCHES CLEAN ! You need to check her stitches EVERY DAY. She also needs to be confine where she won’t do any jumping or running for 10 days. I’m shocked your vet spayed her. It is common practice to NOT spay in heat or for 3 months afterward. Blood vessels are engorged and excessive bleeding can occur. Spaying her because you were afraid Toby got her is no excuse. There are abortion pills for dogs or she can be spayed during pregnancy. Before anyone jumps me I have been breeding Champion show dogs for 30 years. It doesn’t matter show dogs or farm dogs they all need the same care. I’m not here to criticize, I am trying to help.

Hey hey y'all 👋👋👋 Carly should be some place clean and free of the dirt to be quiet honest Brandon.. just from my own experiences with dogs . And she should be kept cool for at least 3 to 4 days will she is recovering .. she still has the in heat smell and Toby could still try to get at her .. even after there fixed the hormones stay for 6 months to 1yr .. super surprised the vet didn't even tell u this ... 🤔🤔😔 Just because there a working dog 🐕 they still need special care after this kinda thing ... Carly is a special fur Baby for sure 😊 💕💙🌻🐕 not to say y'all don't do ur best .. Ino y'all do it's just don't wanna see her get infection 😔🥺 that would be tragic ... Brandon the reason Carly is walking on her leg it's because she's had anaesthetic it's numbed her leg it doesn't hurt her when it wears off she'll be limping again . I asked a vet with my dog Pippa that's when he said it's what puts them to sleep for a while where they've pain it's numb , pity really they don't make something like it he said they can't only used for operations . But I wish Carly didn't have a bad leg but born like it nothing they can do but she looked good walking God bless you all and the animals ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’m sorry about the baby goat - this heat has everyone losing a few animals. Arms lost an alpaca, but she was pretty old. Hidden Heights lost a goose and a turkey hen. Dutch lost a hen, too. I’m thinking that the heat’s taking out a lot of vulnerable animals. Newborn goats, especially multiple birth babies, are vulnerable.
