Consider what happened a lesson from God to get a fence and to move to another house preferably one with no lakes behind it that shit happened to me 4 years ago before I got a fence my mom would take my dog out in the back yard early in the morning to go use the restroom she was down stairs and told me that Froakie got away and I ran out my bed and I had to chase him down barefoot not even wearing socks through the neighborhood the only reason I was able to catch him was because he was about to take a shit.

Losing your dog or any pet is definitely the worst feeling ever. But my dog she would love to run out the house anytime the front door was left open and trying to chase her was the worst bc she thought it was a game. But she would run around the neighborhood and then come back home when she was done on her adventure 😂 Someone tried to steal her once by opening their car door and she loved car rides, but that’s exactly why I never take their collars off because I’m so scared if they get out someone will find them and never give them back 😂 but I’m glad you guys found him and that Janiece is okay.

I lived in an apartment and I had one of my cats get out and go missing a few years ago, I searched and searched before I went to work. My then boyfriend got home around the same time and he searched after that. When I got home that night, it was dark and I looked for a little bit and nothing. Did the same thing the following day and still nothing. The next day I had a short shift and when I came back she just came trotting right up to me like she hadn't been missing for the last two days.

I'm so glad you found him! I have a small dog also and he slipped through the fence at the dog park to chase a squirrel. He ended up in a wooded area and was chasing the squirrel so fast I couldn't catch him. Ended up catching him by his tail after 20 min of chasing him around in the woods😂.

We have 3 dogs, 2 big dogs and a small one. One day we were walking our cousins to their car when 1 big dog (female) and the small dog(male) just zoomed out of the gate and just ran. We tried to run after them, but we couldn't see where they went because it was very late around 9pm. We walked around the neighborhood for like 30 minutes, but we couldn't find them anywhere. After like a week we lost hope thinking something happened to them or someone had them (they didn't have their colors on them) then just as me and my cousins were playing outside one afternoon, we spot them walking back while 2 kids were trying to catch up to them (I think kept the dogs for themselves and they ran away like they did with us 😂). The dogs were so skinny that the bones showed, and they looked thirsty and tired when they arrived, they had the longest sip of water, we gave them food and they slept. I think they learned their lesson

So glad you found him. Get him an AirTag and chip him. My dog ran off once after he dug a hole under my fence. He’s a beautiful black Shitzu and someone found him and took him to the Animal shelter once they scanned him they got the chip information and called me while I was on my way because he had his AirTag on his collar 😊oh and I live in Orlando Florida they’re are honest people. B sides they saw the he AirTag so they figure let me take him to the Animal shelter

My morki (Maltese, Yorki) like to be in the back with the window down in the car and we let him because he stays calm in the car. One day he jumps out the window on the high way and thank god we wasn’t going to fast due to traffic but not only did he jump out but he made the car behind us crash so they didn’t hit him. It was just the worse thing ever. I felt like I blacked out. My dog is okay now. He had a few scratches but no more window for him. Almost gave me a heart attack

I once took my dog with to my grans house and she was playing outside for like 30 minutes so i left her there cause i had to rush somewhere and when i got back to fetch her she wasn't around so my brother and i split and ran around looking for her it was super dark no street lights at all and my brother found her like 10houses away by the bushes and she was chasing birds that was so scary😭💔

Janice, Isaiah do not even feel bad OK I had a little Chihuahua myself too, and her name was diamond, and I didn’t walk her on a leash either because she always stands by me like she never runs off or anything she is house trained was house trained and in my backyard I also do live in Florida. There was a huge hawk that came down while she was trying to use the bathroom and try to grab her. I never seen my baby run so fast like I mean so fast that I don’t even know if that hawk had grabbed her but all I heard was her scream and I went screaming to my front door And I just thank God that she ran so quick and she ran solo. She hid in the archway of my doorway, and was able to shield herself until I met her there, and it was the most terrifying day of my life and I said I never do that again and I’d make sure I have her on at least just in Case, because they will even try to snatch her up on a leash❤️🐶

I had almost the same experience but with my 3 year old son at the time. We were moving into an apartment and I thought my son was inside. But he went missing. Me and my husband were panicking. I went up to this hill and fell and twisted my ankle. I was crying and what-not. My husband was telling me to get, stop crying, and find the boy. I was calling 911 and my husband called out to me and he found the our son. This boy went up the stairs to the 3rd floor of the apartments 😂! We lived on the first floor. Very scary and all this was happening under 5 or 10 mins and it did FELT LIKE FOREVER.

My dog Riley is trained and i use the commad daily. When my door is open I tell him "stay" and he know not to follow me. My mom had lost my other dog Cara. She passed away in May but I used to call her Ms. Independence. One day I came home from work and my mom asked me if i had Cara. I tell my mom I'm coming from work so I do not have her. I go upstairs, look under the bed, take the bed apart, go to the basement and Cara is no where in the house. So I think she got outside. I walk around the block asking people if they seen a small white dog. I walk back to the house think I need to call the place where she has a chip from. But I walk up the front steps I see Cara from inside the house. She was hiding in the living room. I guess she needed some "me" time. That was scary but I remember was I remain calm and went into finding this little dog. It doesn't make sense to fall apart. As I said she is gone now but this is one of many memories I have from her. She was 17 1/2 years old when she passed away. She lived a long and happy life. I'm glad your dog is safe.

I have had something similar happen. I have a chihuahua as well. I had went out to check the mail and chat with my neighbor. (I live in ct) It was windy and the wind blew my screen door open. He had got out and I didn’t know. When I finished chatting with my neighbor I went in and he didn’t come running which he never did. I couldn’t find him anywhere. Had a fit! He was gone for 4 days when I got a call from the shelter. They scanned him and called me. I literally had a nervous breakdown! Thank goodness y’all found him after 5/10 minutes. I had 4 days of agony! But he’s back and I never just leave the screen door closed again!

I get it, worst feeling ever! I had a 12 hour shift and left my dog with my husbands grandparents 15 miles away and she called me to ask if I took the dog and I said No, I immediately left work at the hospital, I didn’t care if they fired me, which they didn’t! I hauled a$$ there and they live outside of the city where cars go 50 miles. He had run down the hill, crossed the street and was playing in someone’s backyard near the ocean!! He was about 4 years old at the time and I had him til he was 15 years old. Miss him every day!

My cat steals clothing. He stole tutu’s and other dress ups from a kindy. He has stolen underwear, socks, kids jackets, he will also bring us our own socks off our clothes airer. Having to ask a neighbour is this yours? 😅 they also have chickens so I don’t want him wandering around.

When I was younger, my childhood dog opened the window and jumped out of the second story, luckily missing our pointy front gate. He was gone for 2 weeks. We walked all over town calling him and putting up flyers. Eventually someone called us letting us know he was found in the cemetery. All this because he was in heat and smelled a female dog 😂😅

I totally understand how you felt being sick girl. I've had a nasty cough non stop since Oct with a cold, walking pneumonia, bronchitis and a sinus infection on top of it. I know how it feels to loose a dog. My Husky has bolted out of the front door and we always find him. The last time though... I was shaking a bad of chips in my driveway and my neighbors thought I was nuts. He wouldn't come to me so I just opened the truck door and he jumped right in. I couldn't even be mad at him because he's special needs, he's Autistic but I was like WTF are you thinking. If my German Shepherd got lost I'd lose my mind. But we take them everywhere, I can't be away from my boy for more then 30 min. I start to panic. My boy is always on 2 leashes and wears a tactical vest and colar. Please leash your dog from now on its for his safety and yalls sanity. But my funny story is, my ex and I actually broke up because of this dog. Haha but now we live together again, bought a house together but we aren't in a relationship. Lol now my ex understands why I was always with the dog. Training takes work. 3 languages, snaps, and hand signals. Lots of training daily. Our fur babies are precious and we need to keep them safe even if we fully trust them. Especially yall in Florida. He needs a leash yall got Gators. I'm glad he's safe and ok. Next time turn the over head light on, don't be mixing drugs like that.
