I forgot to mention one thing in the tutorial. On ALAP5/AFAP5, once you get past 60m, the minimum activation for a boost is 5 clicks of the sticks, not 3

literally ive been playing these games since they first came out on ps2 (and now the remakes) and i had no idea there was 3 types of boosts.... thank you so much dude im about to CRUSH the super clears

This is so important for all players! I didn’t even know there were 3 types of boosting, literally I was wondering why my boost was so slow when starting ALAP 1 to beat my PR

I still have heaps of trouble with the game regarding boosting. I’ve always had trouble with say skateboarding games or like Rollerdrome where certain inputs on the thumbsticks need to be inputed a certain prices way. Not that this is a precision move. It’s meant to be a bit awkward.

thank you so much! i'm back to trying to super clear the harder levels and i can never figure out boosting. i couldn't find any tutorials that helped either, so i'm hoping this will get me through the last levels i need (fingers crossed)

Very good video. The level 1 boost can sometimes be a 1 2 flick of the sticks.

I think any boost that comes out at two flicks are when you're turning in a direction. So say im holding a left turn, i flick right and then left, it comes out. its kind of 2 flicks, but its still the 3 inputs. could be wrong though

I just 100%ed this - there's a boost?! I switched to Simple controls, so maybe there's no boost as punishment. Edit - waggle just left stick, but too late now.
