Mathews is a great company. Had to leave my Vertix behind when I recently evacuated a country due to an outbreak of civil war. A buddy contacted Mathews, told them the story of how I lost my bow, and Mathews sent me a new replacement bow. I was already going to buy another Mathews anyways, but they've locked me in for life!

Between Hoyt and Easton, I think it's more selfish than poor...That's why J. Dudley switched to PSE because Hoyt wouldn't even let him make a personal bow to sell to customers and PSE said, "John, here's a Blank check 🏦💰, go make your 🏹."

What people that shoot Hoyt don't understand, is that the company was sold to Easton in 2019, and then bought by an investment group and has changed hands 2 or 3 more times since then. So yall are just making super rich dudes, even richer! Also when Hoyt comes out with a completely new line-up, the old one becomes obsolete because they dont stock limbs, mods, or cams. So if you buy a Hoyt used that's 5 or 6 years old you can't get a new cam or new limb, unless you get lucky and the shop you use has some old stock. Mathews on the other Hand is still owned and presided by Matt McPherson. You can still get really old cams or limbs. You will ALWAYS get better customer service PERIOD! I personally saw a youtuber (not sponsored by either company and spent his own $ to buy both) that has an RX8 and a Lift. After a couple months and 1000s of arrows he picked the Lift. He had issues from both. The Limb issue from the Mathews and a broken set screw in the cam on the Hoyt. Mathews overnighted the limbs and he had them installed and bow tuned back in in less than a week. With the Hoyt, he had to send it in, (pay for shipping) and they passed the buck around everyrime he called to check on the status... Eventually 6 WEEKS LATER, he finally got the bow back. I dont know about you but I woukd be pretty upset that could completely derail someones entire season. When it comes down to it though, the Lift is lighter, quieter, less hand shock , and is 700 cheaper. The only thing better about the Hoyt which I might add from everyone ive heard, is a very slightly better draw. And most like the Mathews better once they got used to it. Hoyts are for guys that only care about THEIR image and what their buddies think of them and or that it makes them superior. Like the same guys who spend 500 to a 1000 on a pair of Jordan's that are limited edition or something, all for clout...... and I bet Half the guys that shoot Hoyt and talk mad shit about Mathews, has NEVER EVEN SHOT ONE! I owned a Hoyt Turbohawk in 2013. It was 28 in draw, a half in too long for me. It was still fairly new but Hoyt just came out with a new line and no longer made carried or sold the cams for my bow anymore. So I shortened my d loop as much as possible and switch to a thumb release to make up for the half in short draw situation and got it to where it was comfortable. COULDN'T group two arrows together to save my life. Draw cycle was horribl, tons of handshock compared to my Browning Illusion I had the year prior. So I bought a Mathews Legacy and started busting the knocks off the ends of my arrows. Night and day difference! I wouldn't shoot a freaking Hoyt of they PAID me. And for any Hoyt fanboy tries to call me a Mathews fanboy, let me stop you because I AM! I've owned bows from literally every manufacturer except Bear and APA. Jennings, Martin, Diamond, Bowtech, PSE, Hoyt, and Mathews. Mathews stands head and shoulders above the rest. Sorry it is what it is I cannot stand Hoyt. It's No wonder they probably had to beg John Dudley to come back after doing him wrong

Respect the change. The only part of this video that I felt was stretched out was about how quiet the bows are. Both are extremely quiet. Shot both the vtm and the phase 4 side by side. Listened to someone else shoot them side by side. Vtm is noticeably the quieter bow of the two.

I shot mathews for 15 years, but i just switched to bowtech. Simply for the self tuning aspect. I still have the Z7 and switchback and q2. And no cam!! Lol mathews have been my favorite until i shotnthe ss34 by bowtech. But i still bring my no cam as a backup bow hunting out of state. Good luck this coming season! Its coming very quick boys! Congrats! My first bow many moons ago was a PSE. It wasn't top of the line, but it got the job done. Fast forward several years when I was ready to upgrade my equipment (and spend a lot of $), I decided to go with the Switchback XT. It was far and away better than what I had, but I had an experience with that bow that tainted their reputation with me that's been hard to get over. Long story short, sitting in near zero MN weather, I pulled the bow back and heard a gawd awful 'twang'. The bow went immediately to a Mathews shop where it spent some time first trying a new cam, then new limbs, etc to no avail. They finally consulted with Mathews and I was told to strip it down for them to send it back to Mathews. So, I did as instructed and when it came time for the shop to ship it off, they called Mathews to confirm and then the story relayed was 'that is normal'. What a run-around!! Needless-to-say, I took it home and sold it within the week.

It's interesting to hear you talk about Mathews as I know you've shot many different bows. I got my dads Mathews switchback and hunted with it for about 5 years before upgrading to the V3 a few years back and have not regretted it.

Few years ago I went to a scheels and shot literally every single bow. I didn't look at price, brand, model, etc. I just picked what felt best to me. It ended up being a Mathews Z2. Felt the smoothest, and imo the launch of the arrow felt more controlled and refined.

Lets Go! Had the chance to visit the mathews headquarters last November while in Wisconsin. Unbelievably nice ppl. Some of the head guys took time to talk for awhile about the operations of the place and took us in their personal offices to look at deer heads from their local farms. Even gave us a whole stack of hats for free! Seemed like a great company and people to work with!

My first Mathews was a Switchback Xt, the i got the DXT and still have the slim limb DXT and absolutly love that little bow. Smooth, fast and quiet. Love the Solo cam, highly tunable. Great God fearing and always on the cutting edge, CATCH US IF YOU CAN🎉❤
