At first, the crisp bread was a storage bread that was baked twice a year, autumn and spring. The crisp bread had a hole in the middle so that it could be hung on a round stick so that no rats would get at the bread.

its a calorie thing. the square crisp bread has 30-35 calories so you can make a piece of pizza that fits in low calorie diets.

I can recommend Mutti pizza sauce. Makes home pizzas really good! But dont use too much, more is not always better. Oven on full blast and grill, as hot as it can get! I use Tortilla bread for home made pizza (less bread and healthier)

@@BeingSwenglish I should maybe add that Mutti is the tomato sauce, not just a sauce 🙂. The secret with good pizzas is in the tomato sauce (according to me).
