WE MADE CHEESE ON AN AFRICAN FARM | LIFE IN GHANA WITH THE FULANI PEOPLE
I travelled from Accra Ghana to the northern part of Ghana to explore smaller rural villages around here. In this video, i am taught how to make traditional Ghanaian cheese on an African farm by the Fulani people. The fulani people in Ghana are known to rear cattle for a living and hence cheese making is something they tend to do as well.

I'm a fulani and I've herded and milked cattle from when i was 12 years old. My mother made and sold cottage cheese in the market and i sold on weekends. Couldn't have been more proud watching this video. It's actually money from cow milk and cottage cheese that i got education and can read and write.

I am from Nigeria and we also have Fulani's and I did not know they make cheese , just like I did not know that strawberries grow naturally in the Northern part of Nigeria Jos . In Africa the lack of systems prevents people from making a good living from things like this .Look at the Amish here in America who live a simple life but still are able to sell their highly sought after ,naturally made goods and foods for a very good price ! If you have ever being to an Amish market they sell home made sausages and cheese and all kinds of furniture and that stuff is not cheap!

Jasmine Ama , babes we should definitely hang out when I visit Ghana next month. I left Ghana not knowing a lot about the country and it’s so pleasing watching your videos and getting to reconnect with the country. I would love love spending sometime with you experiencing life in the rural areas. I will bring gifts and toys for everyone. They are so peaceful ❤️🙏🏾

OMG Ama, you are bringing such powerful content. This video shows us just how destructive technology has been to the diasporas. Not sure the Fulani showcased have flat screen TVs in their homes. I did not see a McDonalds or KFC anywhere around there. Not sure if the Fulani have kitchens equipped with microwave ovens, electric stoves, and refrigerators. But one thing that I noticed all over the village was LOVE. I saw PEACE. I saw FAMILY. I saw TRIBAL UNITY. In other words, I saw things in that Fulani village that we in the diaspora yearn for.

I see the Fulanis of Ghana are tolerant. If it were Nigeria, they (Fulani) would insist you cover your body and hair. The raw cheese looks like tofu. You have a long head and your eyes which make you look Fulani. Next you will be adorning your skin with "henna". I saw "David's been here" on KZbin. He went to a Northern restaurant in Accra and one of the dishes included "wagashi".
