There was a goth barbie. She was called "haunted barbie" but she was either never put on sale or pulled from shelves. The concept art kind of reminds me of Sherri Moon Zombie in Halloween 2, long white-blonde hair and a long white dress with black accessories. I don't know if that counts as goth fashion but look her up if you want.

There's a product called mr. Super clear it's what people use for doing Doll art that way when you go to read you a doll's face first you have to take acetone and clean off the face let it dry and then spray it with mr. Super clear and then you can use any pastel colors on it or any light or dark colors on it and spray with the mr. Super clear in between

They're SO good! I didn't know there were goth/alt dolls until I learned about BE Goth (bleeding edge) Living dead dolls, little apple dolls and a few other dolls from a video Rattus Rattus made ranking them but I really wish I knew about them growing up, I think it would have been so cool to have dolls like this! If you use a blow-dryer around the neck and head area that way it helps you take the head off so that when you cut the hair it makes it easier to clean it out from the inside of the head that way you can take the acetone again clean the head up painted around where the scalp would be and then insert new hair or glue new hair on. Then you just simply keep the head on a stick until you're done painting the face the way you wanted and then you can reassemble after you are done with the body

I watched a lotta doll making videos, cut the dolls hair, hold the dolls head under hot water (not too hot), take off the head, slowly pull out the rest of the hair inside the dolls head, paint the scalp the desired color you want, you can use yarn or doll hair you can buy online, after you’re done giving the doll some hair add glue on the inside so the hair won’t fall out and let it dry, or you can weft some yarn (brushing it out use a dog grooming brush) and glue it to the dolls head, when it’s dry put the head back on, hopefully this is helpful I ALMOST FORGOT! Use Mr. Superclear if you’re going to repaint said doll

I think both your dolls look great! 😍 Where did you get those tiny sunglasses for Goth Barbie? If I was undertaking such a project (which I would never; too much work) I would look at dyeing previously existing dolls' clothes black. For Barbie I'd try to find a wedding dress, for Ken I'd be looking for 'leather' jackets, which could be tightened and styled, or maybe even converted into pants.
