This was in my hometown, Westborough, Massachusetts! The last time I saw a movie there was August 2015 a little more than two years before it closed. I hope you guys were safe and didn’t get sick from exposure to the mold! Also, it wasn’t wise to wear crocs with all that broken glass at the lobby. You should’ve been wearing hiking boots or steel toe shoes. But seeing that lobby on video made me feel nostalgic I can remember getting movie theater, tickets, and candy. There as a kid. Sadly, I don’t think they’ll be able to say the movie theater with that much decay water damage, and length of abandonment. I just don’t think the building is gonna be be able to be saved. They’ll probably have to demolish it and rebuild it.

This was the theater I grew up going to see movies at. My family moved to Westboro in 1992 when I was a year old, and I lived in town until 2009. When my folks divorced my old man would have my brother and I on thursdays. Every thursday night he’d take us to see a movie here, from 2003-2009. Think about how many AMAZING films came out in that time period, and we saw them all on the big screen, at this wonderful theater. SO SAD to see it rotting away.

6:53…. That’s a giant ice dispensing machine. They probably had the soda fountain machine on the counter above it and had it hooked up to the water connection behind it so that the fountain machine had pretty much an infinite amount of water and ice.

28:29…. My guess is that spot was reserved for birthday parties and such. There was probably a lot more in that section to make it more like a “private VIP” section. Kid has a birthday party there, they treat him and his guests like royalty, give them their own private section in the theater.

Wash rinse sanitize is the cleaning process for commercial food production. Wash with detergent to remove all food debris, water rinse removes detergent, then sanitize with a Chlorine or quaternary ammonium solution and let air dry. The alternative to the three bay sink is to use a high temp or chemical dishwasher.

The movie theater that I used to go to is gone. It was located in a mall and pretty recently they decided to have a last night movie premiere for the employees to watch movies before the movie theater closed. We at first didn't know that the movie theater in Enfield Connecticut would closed for good at the Enfield Square Mall. It was very sad news to hear. I didn't know that the Enfield movie theater will close on December 7th, 2023 but it did.

Someone should turn it into a comedy club! Multiple stages for multiple comedians in a small venue form. Magic shows, comedy shows, plays, or each theater could be a store in a mall, or go industrial like a distiller or a grow house. Or a different restaraunt in each one like a giant food court but with nice restaraunts. If they did that they could all get the food supplies at a huge discount for buying in bulk.

When they first put in the theater it was actually Hoyts before it became Regal.
@jeffpro82 ай бұрын
Yes that's true! I grew up in Westborough MA, I remember it being Hoyts Cinema when it first opened, then Regal took over some time in the early 2000s. That would be why the theater looks different from other Regal cinemas.

The sink is referred to as a 3 - compartment sink. You fill the sink to the defined lines in the stickers so you don’t over flow the sink and have the waters mixed. The wash sink is filled with soap/water and you soak and scrub the dishes. The middle wash sink you can either have it filled with water or run the water to rinse off your dishes. For the sanitize, you fill it up with the sanitizer solution which is usually Quat ammonium solution and you soak the dishes in the for a few and then put to air dry. You either can sanitize with chemical or heat, but 3 compartment sinks typically use quat and a dishwasher will be chemical or heat. You can also use bleach but you have to make sure you’re testing the chemical solutions so it isn’t too concentrated. Also certain sanitizers have defined contact times for the surfaces so that way it’s being properly disinfected.

Idk if anyne commented or if you found out, but the difference between the wash sink and sanitize sink are the chemicals. Wash uses detergent and sanitize uses a literal sanitizer as the final rinse

That’s because we were pissed at having to close a profitable theater that passed every safety inspection with flying colors, all because the owner of our lease literally, not figuratively, disappeared into the Australian Outback. I worked at that theater right up until we closed. Before leaving I scrawled a note in Theater 12 - “So long and thanks for all the fish”. I wonder if it’s still there…
