I remember seeing the round robin format from the reboot of Robot Wars. First 2 head to head matches, then the winners fight the losers, the last head to heads. I am curious if there will be any ties in any of the heats, as it could happen.

Happy with how stable the new Skorpios looks, was surprised that it *still* finds ways to catch on a welded floor though XD Anyway, I predict Skorpios will do well in this bracket--two of its opponents are horizontals, and one is fairly untested. Mad Catter is likely the biggest threat as Skorpios hasn't had much luck against 4WD verts, and if Calvin Iba's there you're going to have one extremely aggressive bot on your hands.

well roundhouse sounds intimidating but its weapon speedup is slower then tombstones and it occasionally seems to connect with the floor. fingers crossed

@@what-fw5vk lets hope it is for scorpios sake. depending on the eventual driving speed it might become an issue; i remember minotaur suffering a series of losses as their redesigned drum/pulley combo made the drum oftentimes connect with the floor.

What is the sensory experience like of walking into the battle box? particularly how does it feel to stand on such thick sturdy metal plates? does it feel like standing on concrete? or something undetectable? is there any vibrations or coldness that give it an electric like feel? how do sounds echo in there?
