I stayed at a Drury Hotel years ago in Columbus, Ohio and loved it. They called it a "Managers Special" gathering in the PM each day from like 5-8pm and had a buffet that always included hamburgers and hotdogs (and sometimes corndogs) along with a main meat of the day (meatloaf, pork chops, salsbury steak, chicken wings etc.) with mashed potatoes every night. They also rotated mac and cheese and stuffing with the mashed potatoes, along with 3 separate veggies, a build it yourself nachos bar, a small salad bar and a dessert bar and included drinks as well. This all was included with your stay and served in the same place where they did the free breakfast buffet which was amazing. I was in town to do a training and I ate there for free at the breakfast time and the dinner or "managers special" time since there was plenty to make a dinner out of every night and the food was good. No need to go looking around for food at night, it was awesome. My boss was surprised that my food costs were so low for this trip, until I told her that basically breakfast and dinner were part of the hotel cost. I've never seen another hotel like that before and would definitely stay there again.

That hotel DOES sound very nice, depending on the price which you didn't mention. I'm assume you brought the box fan?? And last, yes, it rained. And it's likely you will get rain every day since we are still in summer here, and that's our rainy season. I know northerners consider September to be the start of autumn, but here in Florida it's still solidly summer. Hell, October is still summer too. If we are REALLY lucky we get a "cool" Halloween evening once in a while.

Drury looks like a great place to stay! It would be great to just hang out , spend a day at the pool and afterwards have complimentary food & drink! any truckers should know that if they are going slow, get all the way over to the right lane. i had the same thing happen to me in WV. i was stuck behind 2 trucks, one in each lane, going turtle-speed on a 65 mph interstate, and i couldn't get around them. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
