the V8 versions of the MG ZT/Rover 75 were actually surprisingly reliable (better than a Rover K series!), albeit asthmatic, making a rather lazy 260hp. they had the same 4.6 modular V8 you'd find in many US market Ford's of the era (Ford Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car and the F150 pickups)
