From what I see the basic difference between Arab shawarma and Turkish doner marination and Arabic one has sauces while Turkish one has vegetables. But which one is better ? It always depends on the Chef who prepares them...

Nice shawarma! For some reason shawarma is the most popular street food in Russia. Usually it consists of chicken, onions, chooped cabbage, tomatos, cucumber (fresh or pickled), garlic and tomato sauce. All tucked tight in lavash (similiar to saj bread). Love it

I've been searching for this recipe for YEARS!!! In the military I was stationed in Saudi Arabia and my favorite food was the shawarmas from Mama Noura. I've searched shawarma recipes for so long but they never made them like the ones I ate in Saudi! Thank you so much for this recipe! You have no idea how excited I am to try it 🥰! I'm 6 months too late but I believe what you're referring to is either Layers juice, Cocktail juice or Awar Qalb. Layers comes with 3 or 4 Layers of different fruit juices on top of each other. Awar Qalb mainly consists of ice cream/milk with mango, strawberries and banana. Cocktail is just a mix of multiple Fruits together usually appearing as a crimson red drink. All the juices I mentioned are served cold and there are many recipes online about them if you're still looking for the name!

I have been watching Shelby's videos online. I attempted this once already, but it wasn't quite right. I used Lavash Bread (what my store had) and it was not right. I also used some premade garlic stuff, am making this garlic sauce this time. I am trying this again today/tomorrow. Making SAJ bread this time from scratch on the wok. Using this smoke trick. AND I got some Pomegranate/Molasses sauce!!! I have baby dill pickles, fries, some chicken thighs and breasts, all my herbs and seasoning. Wish my luck. I can't wait to see if this is even half as good as yours looks!!!
