Just a min in the vid so idk if you learn about Shidou's case later but Shidou did not forget to feed his kids but there were no kids left to feed. His wife had a car accident in which the kids died immediately. So his wife was alive longer than the kids.( He was not with them during the accident and was probably at the hospital)

20:00 ,idk where you read that but I don't think Mahiru drugged her partner ,the feeding him rats probably meant something like having toxic behaviour with each other (in her case being too clingy) whoch eventually lead to deteriorate his mental state and acted as a a poison for him. It's actually not really clear as to what happened between them but I'm pretty sure both of them were toxic to each other. Just that mahiru thought all their fights and hardships were a form of love and it would help their love grow. She never took it in a negative way because if you look at the trial 2 music vid it's shown that both of them were in rags,means both were suffering but Mahiru was a bit delusional to think it was all normal. There's also a stalker theory,that she had a stalker or her bf was her stalker if you read the text translation on her trial 1 music vid on wiki fan page. It's something like she met a boy coincidently on many days at different places ans eventually they started talking and hanging out. Also in Mahiru's trial 1 vid She was trapped in a cage,so it might be possible that the bf's mental condition was already bad and he held her captive(although this last part is just my guess). But you could say that if you replace the drug part with love that's what it is. The drug you are mentioning is love. She legit overdosed him with love. Too much love. The boy probably couldn't handle that level of affection, he's weak, Mahiru's innocent for me😂.

For Mahiru, she didn’t feed drugs or actual rats 😂 I believe it isn’t a physical thing like actual drugs or rats but moreso symbolism of toxic behaviour that Mahiru thought was “Love” When it’s all colourful and vibrant in the MV, That’s Mahiru’s POV, Think of it as Mahiru’s rose coloured lens, what she thought the relationship was When everything is all trashed and they look homeless, that’s reality what their love really was. A toxic relationship that Mahiru didn’t see (Rose coloured lens), she thought it was normal. For me and other audiences, I believe the boyfriend was toxic. He fed her cake in the MV first and so Mahiru thought “This is love right?” “This is what couples do?” Thinking that these toxic things her boyfriends giving to her is normal and affection of love. And so Mahiru reciprocated the toxicity (cake) that her boyfriends gave her. I want to point out that Amane's thoughts of "children can do anything and they should be held responsible in a way that's equal to adults" probably come from the punishments she received. She believes that she shouldn't be looked down upon due to her age and should receive the same judgements adults do. This is a result of her parents instilling upon her that yes, she does have free will, and yes she can sin and yes she will get PUNISHED once she sins the same way adults of her cult probably do. We're judging MIKOTO, not john (mikotos alter, thats the name given to him by es). milgrams rules about the invisible force against attacking es do not affect john, therefore, we're not judging john, just mikoto, and mikoto didnt do shit. basically, the situation is - mikoto is a fashion designer. he overworked himself and stressed himself out every single day to the point where he developed a dissociative identity disorder, and john (mikotos alter) was the one who killed several people. in DOUBLE (mikotos second trial song) and MeMe (mikotos first trial song) theres a similar change in tone at points in the song, referencing his dissociative identity disorder. in the loud harsh metal parts, the one singing is john, mikotos alter, and john is singing to mikoto in both songs, not to the guard, asking for mikoto to forgive him because he failed, just making mikotos mental state worse. john, born just a little before milgram, wanted to protect mikoto but didn't know how to and that it'll affect mikoto in a bad way. How dissociative identity disorder works is that under stress and/or trauma, a defensive mechanism develops, resulting in an alter, a different person in the same body, being born to take on the stress of the host (mikoto) and protect them from spiralling further down, and while john is fronting, mikoto does not remember anything that had happened - its not under his control. It's true that does not mean john shouldnt go unpunished - but MILGRAM isn't an ordinary prison. we are judging whether the person is forgiven or unforgiven, and we're not judging john. We're judging mikoto, thats the problem. They're not the same person. MILGRAM's rules don't apply to john - so by MILRAM, john isnt seen as a prisoner who we are judging, because john and mikoto are two different people. We are judging mikotos crime, BUT THERE IS NO CRIME MIKOTO COMMITTED. john, mikotos alter, as we see in the lyrics of the music videos, just wanted to protect mikoto - and he failed at it. because of john, mikoto is in prison, dealing with pain in his body because of kotoko fighting john and headaches all the time, and on top of that, mikoto doesnt remember probably 30-40% of what happens to him. isn't judging mikoto as unforgiven cruel, really? also, as john himself said in the second trial, he (mikotos alter) will disappear soon, probably because he understands that he is just making it worse for mikoto, basically failing at his own existence.
