i was amazed by how the fake wood technique turned out! i'm definitely trying that!!
@jeanvignes2 жыл бұрын
I must be an outlier on this point, but I prefer the look of "honest laminate" to faux bois (fake wood.) I'm a big fan of things looking exactly as what they are. To me the authenticity is a better look than the "I tried to dress it up to make it not look cheap" look. That always ends up looking more cheap to me, especially as it ages (flaking or chipped paint showing the laminate underneath.)
@BhappyD2 жыл бұрын
@@jeanvignes I think it would have looked better with a lighter color of paint instead of the dark brown paint that was used for the “wood grain” effect. Additionally I also think it would look more believable if she had painted the wood grain on the top panel (the skinny strip of laminate directly above the cabinet doors) horizontally rather than vertically (which is how the grain is for most real wooden bathroom cabinets, with the doors having vertical wood grain and the wood above the doors having a horizontal wood grain).

My thing with bathrooms though, which I feel is often lacking, are hooks/stand or dresser on which to hang or put a towel (something reachable from the shower) and the clothes you're getting into. About the mouthwash, if your bottle is not clear it's probably because the solution becomes less effective when light can get to it. I'm not a dentist or anything but it was a trend a while ago and I saw alot of dentists say it was a terrible idea (if you re-bottle it to something not clear then there's obviously no issue)
