Something you should know is that PvZ2 is WAY harder then the original PvZ, especially at the last worlds. As for strategies, PvZ probably can be played in any way and you can still win. In PvZ2 though, that's not the case, I'd suggest putting sunflowers in front of your offensive plants, as 1. Sunflowers are usually cheaper than them, and 2. They can stall zombies even it's for around two seconds. For sunshrooms though, I'd suggest putting three rows in the back, but you may need to change the positioning of them if it isn't working. Hope this helps!

Tip: protecting the defense plants with sun plants is what you should do in pvz2 since they produce twice as much sun in 2 and usually repay themselves by the time

PVZ 2 got a lot content removed and changed along the years. You should problably play it with some mod that brings back the removed music (like, 20 songs were removed) and removes the microtransactions. I'd reccomend the "reflourished" mod, on top of doing all that, it adds a bunch of extra levels after you beat the main game.

If you want to play PvZ2, PvZ2: Reflourished (a mod) brings back all the things that made the game good (which popcap removed for some reason) and adds more content to the game that makes it way better, and it removes some stuff that ruined the vanilla game.

Pvz 2 is a mobile game so you should play on an emulator like Bluestacks. I also highly suggest you play a pvz2 mod like Pvz2 Reflourished, which basically adds new content and smooths out the game in general. Maybe you should play pvz 1 and 2 at the same time because there are still some extra stuff you have to do like the puzzles and mini-games which are a lot of fun.

I have some tips if you move on to pvz2: -level up your plants as quick as you can, it really helps. -Every week you can play extra hard level, by winning them you’ll get diamonds. -You can buy plants for diamonds. -Play penny’s pursuit every day to unlock very strong plants that are very helpful. -Play Far future or Wild West because it has some of the best plants. Keep up the content!

Im currently playing through the second game. Its much harder as I saw another point out. Much of the difficulty comes from new mechanics, various worlds, a bigger plant selection and the inclusion of world specific plants and challenges. Unfortunaitely, if you were hoping to use the chomper again, its a real money purchase plant. As you play, i can give you things that helped me and plant suggestions for levels. Im glad you like this as much as many of us do.

Yeah Cattail isn’t in the 2nd game, at least in the international version that most countries got. China has their own version of the game and both Cattail and Cob Cannon, which are not in the international version are in that version. Cattail may return in the international version one day, it constantly getting updated with new plants. It took a while for Blover, Puff Shroom, Fume Shroom, Sun Shroom, Hypno Shroom, Chomper, Lily Pad, Tangle Kelp, Cactus, Garlic, Pumpkin and most recently Galting Pea. Also the over I think maybe 150 new plants are amazing! My favorite plant is Electric Bluberry, she is the strongest plant in the game! Not only can she hit any zombie no matter where they are, but she can take down any zombie with one hit, including Gargantuars! She is the only plant in the entire franchise that can do that! Problem is, there are special plants in PvZ 2 called premium plants and you don’t do it the normal way. You either unlock by collecting gems, collecting seed packets or paying actual money, Electric Bluberry is one the money ones. And just to make it worse, Popcap, the studio that made PvZ got bought out by EA. Of course seeing how popular the first game was that decided to make a sequel and everyone was fine with that. But they wanted to make it pay to win, PvZ creator said no and without a 2nd thought EA fired him.

Someone else suggested PVZ 2 Reflourished mod since it’s basically normal PVZ 2 but it adds back everything that has been removed (quite a lot of stuff, pvz 2’s recent updates have not been great), it adds some new worlds and other stuff. You should put the Melon-pult behind the lawn cause there's a chance that the van would hit the 2nd, 3rd and 4th column and the better plants would be able to survive, and you need to save up jalapenos and iceshroom so when zomboss releases the fireball or iceball you would be able to kill them, just use the jalapeno and iceshrooms on the "hard" zombies (like football, gargantuar, etc.)
