Funny thing is I picked up a couple tungsten swim jigs on Amazon made by Reaction Tackle... I came across them when I was looking for something else and saw you get 2 for $11 and they have hand tied skirts so I bought a few. I was honestly shocked so I bought a bunch more of their stuff and been throwing them a bunch but I gotta go with DC I'm a huge fan of Dirty Jigs... being down here in the south I use braid when throwing a swim jig almost exclusively.

Thanks for showing us the tungsten jigheads. Was wondering about them when Keitech came out out with their micro tungsten jighead. I carry it in my tb but don't currently have a situation to use it because of the heavy algae growth.

Dave’s Tourney tackle swimjig was the OG here on the Potomac! Also, Jewel makes a swimjig with a unique head design and keeper lock that I have enjoyed throwing in thicker cover, too. But day in day out, it’s hard to beat dirty jigs for variety of sizes/styles and colors. Extra tip for hand tying ones with a collar is to go to Lowes/HD and get some wire for hanging pictures (comes in a orange package with built in cutter…sorry don’t remember brand). Take a 5-6” section and wrap it 2-3x and then needle nose plier to draw in tight and twist (but don’t over twist or it breaks)! Takes less than a minute. You can thank me later 👍

Mannnn I was throwing a Mike Ike compact swim jig today and was the only one catching fish. Had a gill flash swimbait for the trailer and I was loving it. Caught like 10 fish and broke off on one forgot to retie. I grabbed my grass hero and got two bites but the lost them both. I’m going to get another Mike ike swim jig tomorrow lol

Swim jigs are my go to technique when I really need a bite. For the versatility of it. I can slow roll it deep skip around docks over grass. It comes thru everything. When I need a bite that's what I'm going for. And I make my own and buy mass produced as well.

Funny thing. You guys called the hook on the Dirty Jigs No Jack swim jig a “tuna hook.” Tuna fisherman actually use tiny hooks compared to bass fisherman! My old roommate was a tuna fisherman and he always commented on how bass fisherman use giant hooks for relatively smaller fish compared to the hooks tuna fisherman use for them bigguns!
