Every time i come across your episodes i know ive got at least 1 hours time to settle into😎🇦🇺👍 Ps Being in any allied tank and coming across Tigers would give you the shivers & break into a cold sweat....well unless you were in a KV😎🤫

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography picture 📷of tank and commander. Once the Romanian oil fields were in Russian hands. Synthetic gas ⛽ refineries were destroyed. Fuel consumption quickly ran into short supply. Less & less tanks/planes able to function. The war was over after the Normandy invasion momentum picked up speed -!!! 😉. Enjoying this presentation from the comfort of my computer room. Along the " Space Coast "🚀 of Florida 🐊🐊🐊. Wishing viewers a safe/healthy/prosperous/( 2024 )🌈🌈🎉🎉

As good as the Tiger 1 tank was, it didn’t benefit from sloped armour like the already well-known Russian T-34.

Gudarian resorted to using Tank Destroyers divisions as a last resort when his tank numbers got low. It wasn't a ideal solution as tanks have more ability to go on the offensive.

A main battle tank was more of an offensive weapon ... as far as a tank destroyer? Excellent defensive weapon

It’s actually the opposite tank a destroyer is a good offensive and defensive weapon and perfectly good to in vertically any situation. The Stug Hummel and Hetzer they could work as a defensive weapon in dug in fortified positions as artillery and in ambush or on the move as they had low haul which made them hard to see. They were fast and not even 25% the weight of a king tiger. These tank destroyers were easy to construct quickly in order to get to the front lines. The Germans could have fielded perhaps 10s of thousands of these if they made tank destroyers a priority over heavy thanks.

@@Unique377 They had a material problem thingy .... you could build more Panthers than tigers ... and when they came out? they were needed as an defensive weapon👍✌

@@PaulftateThose tank destroyers were light compared to the weight of a 15 ton Hetzer 23 ton Long Barrel Stug vs 44 tons of a Panther 56 tons on a Tiger Tank 70 tons of a King Tiger. They require way less material and were easier and faster to build especially when equipped with the Flak 88 gun. The Russians recovered any and all burned out tanks and melted them down to produce new vehicles a lesson Germany never figured out.

I fully agree with the angle you are pushing ... under the circumstances tank destroyers were cheaper to make than main battle tanks and materials were short ... and by that time in the war they were facing a defensive posture👍✌
