After playing gt7 in vr, ea has zero chance of me buying the flat screen versions of their software. However, with the purchase of seat, wheel and pedals, any of their titles in vr would be first on my list for investments.

I generally pay full price for only racing games because 95% of my gaming is racing. Since GT7, I only play racing games if they're VR. Any Assetto Corsa title in VR is my dream, but I'll buy any others that come along.

Glad you have done this, we need more PSVR2 driving games for sure..Maybe it would help if Sony released some actual sales figures, we are all pretty sure they are higher than the negabots try and make out.. the amount of comments from psvr2 users on the wrc vr release trailer is mind-blowing asking them to get it to psvr2.. That all said as much as it pains me to revert back to 2D Sim racing i did download WRC on PS5 and i really was surprised.. unless my memory is really poor the original WRC and dirt Rally on ps4 looked better than what EA have done to this, it seemed to have lost a lot of scenary detailing and some graphic quality.. Buildings etc seem way less relistic unless its me 🤔 i was quite disappointed but GT7 in PSVR2 has really spoilt me and has really raised the bar..

another reason EA may want to only do vr for rally is I think that if they were to add it to the new f1 people may EXPECT it for future yearly releases. FWIK rally doesn't get annual releases.

Here we are F1 2024 and still no PSVR2 for PS5. After GT7 in VR2 I cannot do flat screen racing again. I can turn my head and look at my bed post or in VR I can turn my head and see another car flying by me + the beautiful scenery of the track. Immersion is next level!

Ive recently cancelled my EA Play sub, due to a few reasons... 2 mainly being the price hike and the fact that many of the EA titles seem to be ending up on PS Plus Essential... But... i would possibly reconsider if VR ports were made of all the games that make sense... ie the racing games, Squadrons, Dead Space even.!

Just bought horizon vr soon after getting my psvr2, i was a bit dissapointed with the length but overall satisfied with the polish and mechanics of the game. And as a quest 2 user, jeez thos graphics are crispy.

EA cant get VR right on PC, so no hope for the getting it right onPSVR2, and with only just over 1million headsets out there I doubt it could even cover its own development costs.

I haven't bought any new racing games since i got psvr2 gt7. I cant go back to flat screen racing. If psvr2 goes pc compatible then i will just buy a pc and dump the ps5

I wouldn't hold out hope. They can hardly get the game running well on flat screen. Poor optimisation, as Unreal engine 4 and 5 have robust VR support already. Very disappointed as I have a full sim rig. The console versions are still blurry with screen tearing on consoles even now. There is no UDP telemetry on consoles either, so motion/ wind/ dashboards don't work. Feels lazy. The F1 games by the same developer have telemetry on console... Why, when we pay the same price, are console users treated like second class citizens? I'll stick to F1 and GT7 for the time being and hope EA/ Codemasters can pull their finer out as WRC will be the last WRC I buy. The Star Wars games, WRC, Dead Space. All have had serious issues at launch. EA really needs to start listening to customers and deliver properly finished products. Their poor reputation is absolutely justified.

At this point I'd pay full price for a genuine NFS or Burnout or Ridge Racer game. Blows my mind there is literally *one* racing game on psvr2. Thank god it's one of the best ever made.

I read an article yesterday where some guy at codemasters was saying that while there is no immediate support for psvr2 with their games the conversation is still open......i have little faith though as EA didn't even port star wars squadrons over.......now then, after some particularly ill judged cheese on toast just before bed one night, I dreamt I was playing a really cool open world "Knight Rider" game......pretty sure this will never happen but in my dreams it was cool as the proverbial cucumber 🤣

Squadrons was never meant to receive support beyond 6 months, so unless some briefcases of cash change hands it’s never going to happen sadly.

EA historically has been a bit anti PlayStation and Pro Xbox. It doesn’t surprise me that most of their games aren’t on PSVR2. It’s only after they’ve put it everywhere else and gotten less than spectacular sales and Sony pays for the development. EA is just a pain in the ass.

I'd love WRC... but unlikely. WRC is slightly more likely due to it being based on UE, but given the difficulties Codemasters has getting stuff to run on PCVR well, I suspect they have little interest in pushing VR further. honestly, I'm now just waiting to see if we get PC support on PSVR2, and then consider building a PCVR setup for racing beyond GT7. as for other titles, Crew Motorfest, a Forza Horizon like title, open world roaming , would be a great compliment to track racing on GT7. (whilst Forza may come to PS5, microsoft/xbox dont appear to have any interest in VR)
