It's funny because this is exactly how people used to feel about older mediums like comic books. Parents used to believe that if their kids read horror comics did they would become serial killers. Our generation is messed up, we constantly bicker about things that don't matter, but at least we're going to grow old having a deep understanding of what our kids and what our grandkids are into.

I can’t even imagine what the mother’s childhood was like growing up with someone like that. I didn’t have the best parents by any means, and my own mom is pretty crazy. She banned me from watching Malcolm in the Middle because she thought it was going to corrupt me. But she never would’ve done anything like burn all my games. LUCKILY I had a brother who was 7 years older than me who bought me all my games and CDs before I got my first iPod. He’d always vouch for me too saying that the stuff wasn’t bad which it was by my mom’s standards anyway. For example I was playing Halo/Elder Scrolls/GTA at 5 years old, and listening to Lil Wayne/T-Pain/Kanye at like 7 years old.

The Judge: You are being charged with arson and destruction of property. How do you plead? This evil creature: I plead guilty, but you see, I did it because I watched a single documentary about video games made by two drunk old people that said that they were bad. The Judge: How is that supposed to do anything except for call out how bad you are at research? Also, you're going to jail.
