I taught preschoolers. Everest is very typical and good on you for allowing her to explore her own personality. I went through so many phases and many did not stick - some did, Her life is up to her. In 10 years she might be the girliest girl on the planet. bottom line, it doesn't matter.

I also used to teach preschool - most of the boys loved dressing up in the princess dresses. I had a coworker who had an issue with it - she never said anything to the kids but made comments to me like it was the end of the world. Wish people would just let kids be kids.

You are allowing the girls to be individuals and both looked fantastic. My daughter was never a "girly girl", wore a jumpsuit to her prom when she was 11, wore trousers to school, shaved her head at 13 and now at 16 has chosen to occasionally wear dresses. Her hair has been short, long, blue, red, pink, purple it grows out or grows back and it is her choice and her hair. Carry on being great parents and allowing your girls to have choices and feel great about themselves ❤

I am 100% with you guys. You’re fantastic parents. I’ve a son who has always liked girls stuff. I’ve always supported him. Just let him be how he wants to be, and he’s turning into a well-balanced, un-repressed young adult now. I’m blessed cos my family have always supported him, to be him, and he just feels so safe and understood. Just know you guys are absolutely right in how up you’re raising your children. I am just so saddened by the comments I read on here, and Insta, cos I dread my son being subjected to similar in the future, cos he isn’t following gender stereotype.

I have watched your channel way before the twins were conceived. I remember when so many people were saying Addison was dressed better, and her hair was done nicer, and Adam was showing favorites. Then it went to Addison, was on camera more, and favored when her sister was the underdog AGAIN? now it's gotten even worse. People are attacking this little girl's wanting short hair, and the fact that she doesn't want to wear dresses and her facial expressions are unhappy? Wow Her parents grooming her to a boy? Why, in the H*** are people BULLYING and downing a 5 year old and her personality? They are degrading a 5 year old! Just because she doesn't fit their own "social norm" for what people think and feel this little girl should like or want? They seem to pick her out because she is so different in her taste and personality than Addison. Grown people picking apart a 5 year old child....stop people!!

Let me start out by saying you guys are AMAZING dads!! Nothing angers me more than when people think it’s ok to judge others! I was blessed with 3 daughters who are now adults. Two of them went through many stages of identity in their younger years which i fully supported. When my middle child came out as lesbian she was 15 years old and because of my support of letting them be who they wanted to be she wasn’t afraid to tell me. My girls are now 25, 22, and 19 all with college degrees and very successful. I support your family 100%! Keep doing what your doing because those beautiful girls deserve to be who they want to be. ❤

One of the things that makes me follow you and keep seeing your videos since the girl's birth is your love and respect for the girls choices and what makes them happy. I really don't understand why people get so mad to see parents simply letting their children choose their clothes and express their personalities. Honestly, there are so much disturbed people out there, it's mind-blowing. I just want to say that I admire you and your family very much, and you guys are such a big inspiration for me. Hope that someday I can be such a good, respecting and present parent as you guys are. Don't mind those crazy people comments, they're clearly creating the "reality" that they want to see, just to make bad comments about it. ~ sorry for my english, and love u guys, 3 ❤

You’re such wonderful parents, I wish I had had parents like you when I was growing up as a transgender kid. The fights over wearing dresses traumatized me for a long time. I love how you give them all the options for their clothing and hair without judgement. I would challenge you to try something similar with gendered language. Even if Everest always identifies as a girl, having the language and open conversation around different possible gender identities can help with empowerment and open mindedness. Now is the time kids start to understand their gender identities… look up gender creative parenting! It might help to start having those conversations now. PS props for handling those haters! You’re such great advocates for your family and other queer families.

G'day from Australia. I have been watching your content for some time and support your family 100%. I am a mother of twin daughters (one has now made me a grandmother) and they are as different as chalk and cheese. Today I want to share about my nieces. One is a girlie princess and the other hates dresses, pink, and long hair. From 3 years of age she wanted to be spidergirl and play a guitar with flames on it. When she was 7 she was invited to a princess birthday party. She went dressed as Darth Vadar and her friends totally accepted her choice. You are doing an amazing job as parents and can be held up as an example of how all people should be parenting. Sending love and support. Sue.❤❤❤

58 year old woman here. I rocked a pixie cut from the age of 4 until 14. I HATED dresses and lived in jeans and hoodies and t-shirts until I was 57...lol. I am 100% a girl. I love girl things. I just don't like girly clothes on me because I don't LOOK like a girly girl, and girly clothes look silly on me. But I'm thankful for my mom, who let me dress myself for comfort wayyy back in the late 60s. She let me climb trees, and play with Matchbox, and ride bikes with the boys. She also played Barbies with me when I asked her to. And I know with 100% certainty that my mom loved and supported ME... not who she thought I was, but who I actually was. I love watching the girls grow, and I love watching your relationship with them as fathers. It's beautiful, and IMHO, you're doing everything so right.

What you are doing is being great parents to YOUR children which is fabulous. This is the point of parenting, letting them figure life out, but in a safe way and safe environment. Those girls are lucky to have 2 loving and caring parents. Most kids nowadays, don't have that at all. Kudos to you for not forcing your children to do/be what they don't want. First of all you are fab parents!, I agree with everything you have said in this video. We have a son ( who is transgender, female to male) and when he was younger than Everest he preferred to wear trousers, shirts, t shirts etc. like you both said, you have to communicate with your children and give them the choice of what clothes they want to wear and how they want to style their hair, they are their own person and you are there to guide and nurture them as they grow. I saw the photo’s and Everest looked to me like she was having fun, that is all that matters. I can’t believe some of those comments you read out, I think some people have clearly lost the plot!!.

I am going to agree with you, we as a country are going backwards on every kind of equality, I am 60 and when I was young no one really cared what you identified as tbh. This country is going backwards. There is more racism than ever!! I am a conservative and have no problem with a child wearing whatever they want. I have no problem with people being who they are, but grooming is wrong and forcing stuff on people is wrong. There is nothing wrong with you guys, your girls, or the way you're raising them. Letting Queen E wear what she wants is not grooming. You're doing a wonderful job!❤.

Just so everyone knows, some of us very cisgendered women don't like to wear dresses - don't ever wear dresses. Thanks. 😁 And, BTW, so what if Queenie does want to be different than her sister! It's evolution! That's what all living things do and how they maximize their resources. I teach 4-6 year-olds, and if they get to school with clothes on we are happy. When they start choosing their own clothes and activities, there is so much experimentation that is absolutely essential to their development! I LOVE THIS! Thanks for letting your treasures be who they are and give them an internal moral code of compassion and self-knowledge and grace.

Gentleman, You’re the best Girl Dad’s ever.. The hardest part of parenting is letting our kids just Be who they are. It’s hard to, give them the lead on decision making. All grooming your children to be a certain way is going to do is cause them to have resentment when they grow up. Yes my daughter did things that the kids at school made fun of like when she wore tight but then also wore socks over them, she thought she looked good and didn't care what they said, you have to pick your battles with your kids and it just wasn't worth the battle it wasn't hurting anything now she's 35 years old I still think she dresses a little bit out there but she's happy and her husband loves her. You're giving them good childhood memories and that's what's important.

My point is that no matter what clothes they want to wear it doesnt "make" them gay, They will be what they want to be and loved being themselves!! Please dont stereotype children. Ok, this is hard because I have so much to say. I will keep it short. I’ve watched from day 1. I care about you! I grew up in Utah and LDS. I was taught to love all. I don’t practice any religion anymore but I am happy I was born with the foundation where to this day I love Jesus, I love God. But while I am on this earth I chose to love infinity like Jesus. I don’t judge! I was a tomboy just like QE and my 3 sisters’ were not. My parents always bought me the dirt bike instead of the pink banana seat. I never felt weird,it was just me. Now that I’m older I choose to wear more comfy cute clothes. No heels! But I am all girl and straight. All that matters is LOVE. That may sound cheesy but it’s true. It’s so insane how people are! My now 7 yr old saw a pic of Jada Pinket Smith about a year or so ago and she was in awe of her beauty and she asked if she can shave her head like her. I told her that I didn’t think that shaving would be a good idea because we are very fair skinned and that her head may get sunburnt. We did go to the barber shop and they gave her a super cute very very short hair cut and she looked ADORABLE! What surprised me is that it wasn’t strangers who commented on her new appearance… it was family!!! They all felt the need to ask why I would let her cut her hair and look like a boy. I turned on my diva switch and let them know that you don’t have to have long hair to be feminine and be beautiful! I am teaching her to go with whatever she wants and not give 2 f’s about what other people have to say because it’s her body and not theirs. It’s so frustrating! I got the same kind of feedback when I let my sons hair to grow out when he was a toddler. He had beautiful blonde curly hair. He was very rugged and always dirty and how he could be confused as a girl beats me! He did end up requesting that it be cut so we did. I feel ya! Keep doing what you do and know that you’re girls are going to be amazing because you’re allowing them to be. Also… just wanted to add… my daughter wore the pinkest fairy dresses and tiaras with her short hair cut.

her life journey is hers. she is discovering who she is. and whoever she is, is JUST FINE, regardless. and all of this for CLOTHING? straights are scared that she might be a trans child, that's the real issue that has them acting as they do. and even if she turns out to be trans, or like i said, WHOEVER she becomes, so what? maybe its just a preference, nothing more. look at shiloh pitt, she wanted to be called 'john' for years and wore suits, now she's in dresses and makeup and is a killer dancer. does anyone care?? y'all are are stellar parents. you are doing what is right. to deny her this simple thing would be abusive to her self esteem. warm hugs.

Anyone who has been following Queen E they’d know she has always like putting this way Tom boyish style, I was the same . I’m 67 years old and dig your kids and the family . Who cares what she wears . People who judge need to judge themselves first . I adore Everest she’s the best . ❤️✌🏾💐🌹⭐️🙏🏾

My darlings......first of all, you are both amazing parents! I've been with you since before the girls were born so I've witnessed a lot with how you've raised them. We should all desire parents for kids around the world, that love and care for their children, as much as you do your beautiful girls. I wish people would just live and let live but we are not in a world where that is possible. And btw....I had a "Pixie" hair cut which is super short, when I was a little kid and I'm as straight as one can be straight! I also like the look of women in a suit. It's very fashion forward. Just keep being their daddies and loving them the way you two do. They are happy/healthy, and that's all that matters!!!!! I love ya'll!

You are fabulous parents. I know the comments are hurtful but some people are just stupid. I am a female and I have worn my hair short most of my life and can't stand wearing dresses. People need to mind their own business.

regardless of whether or not it’s a phase, it’s important to let kids figure out who they are for themselves! plenty of girls wear clothing that was made with boys in mind, that doesn’t mean anything! i wore a lot of boy clothes as a kid, and i’m not trans. i do know that i have parents who love me unconditionally, though! ❤

As a ‘boyishly’ girl when I was a child, in my opinion, it is totally ok, I’m proud to be a woman (mentally and physically) I like dresses in particular circumstances, I love pants and tie my hair up because I’m active and it’s more convenient and cozy. (I’m abscess with suits since it cool) and I once struggled since almost all the people tell me I shouldn’t wear my awesome suits I should be more girly. Screw them, I AM WHAT A GIRL LOOKS LIKE!!!!!!!

Hi Guys. I was waiting for you to address the negativity about the prom pictures on Instagram. Which by the way were awesome. The minute I saw the pictures I just knew that the morons would be out in full force unfortunately. Everest is an amazing little human who knows what she wants to wear and thank god she has the two best parents possible who let her shine like the diamond she is. Anyone who finds a problem with Everest wearing a suit is because of their own hang ups and warped sense of what they think a girl child should or shouldn’t wear. Or a boy child for that matter. All we can do is pray these people are not raising any little humans themselves. And for you Adam and Erik I wish all children could have parents like you who raise their children not only with love but also the respect you have for both girls who you allow to express themselves without fear or judgement. If the world had more Adam’s and Erik’s it would be a much better place. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Eric Hi Adam..Just watched this, and made me so angry, How can people be so narrow minded, you two are brilliant parents to your beautiful daughters, And i totally agree with you It is Everest's hair and her body so what she is happy with is her choice, so you guys are totaly doing the right thing by allowing her to control what she wears . I love her haircut and her suit, and she still looks like the beautiful little GIRL she is ...Carry on guys you are doing a great job ..love from across the water xx

I thought queen E was adorable. She hasn’t liked wearing dresses for a long time. I don’t understand why people would assume she’s not happy. I think her beautiful smile and happiness says it all. Everest and Addison are twins but they are also individuals. I admire you letting them be who they are.

Everest looked fabulous. She always does. She loves her look and it's obvious that she's happy. The haters are nuts and need to get a life (not to mention learn how to write a proper sentence). Lots if girls don't like dresses and I know a girl who wore a suit to prom 20 years ago. Who cares. Wear what you want. You are wonderful parents and it's great that you don't force your girls to do anything they don't want.

Been a long time since I commented. First let me say I ❤️ and respect your family. If E is a tomboy, so be it. The world needs more tomboys. And if, down the road, she comments that she might be a boy, I say support her. ..... but I’m begging you, no puberty blockers, etc. too much that can go wrong. Children change their minds . A lot. ... try not to hate on me for this comment.

At 7 my son had the most beautiful blond singlet tail that start at his neck and was to his waist. It SAS about and inch wide. We got so many hurtful comments. I did my best to ignore my husband would tell them to mind their own business. Once my son over heard. He came into the bleachers looked at the lady and said aren't there enough problems in the world for you to worry about? Solve the school bullying issues then come talk to us. I started to cry. Not because I was sad but because I was raising a child who knew who he was. Its just clothes and hair I have a whole list of stuff they should be worrying about.
