They normally fly through Vancouver but then they have to deal with the Toronto airport, which is a nightmare. They said at the beginning that they were flying a different route through Montreal to avoid the nightmare that is Toronta. I can't say I blame them, only been through Toronto airport 2 times in my life and I would do anything to avoid it in the future.

I don't blame you for going through Montreal. I loathe Pearson and I have only gone through it 2 times the one time I went out west and I hated every minute of it. I would do anything to avoid it again if I can ever afford to fly anywhere again. I was thinking the other day that you guys were probably already here or would soon be. Enjoy the ocean if you can. I am,originally from NFLD and miss the ocean so much. Now I am stuck in Ontario with limited access to nature in my area, I love watching your vlogs from Canada, as much as the ones from South Korea because it is also scenery I don't really experience. Sorry to hear about Beemo, I think it is so sweet that you brought one of his stones with you to visit your parents. I think Pipi was probably trying to comfort you because animals know.

First, I love my Vessi shoes. I'm bringing 2 or 3 pair to Korea next year including the stormburst hi-tops (so perfect for winter). I think everyone needs a pair of Vessi. Second, airplane seats are VERY narrow especially for people with wide hips like me. I booked 2 seats together in the back of the plane. I booked super early because I wanted those seats. Back there it's just 2 across so I get a row to myself and the arm rest lifts... like having a love seat. Years ago I went to England and nearly died for almost 2 weeks from the jet lag. Then I was told by someone I know who has flown a ton for business that you shouldn't fly at night... fly early in the morning. Soooo, My flight to Korea is at 1am (departure) and return is 10am (departure). I'll also try to get myself on local time before I leave. I'm praying that helps. It must have been difficult to see Rosie and Pipi. I hope your Canadian summer will help to heal your broken hearts. I know how hard that is having been through it.

Regarding jet lag, my recommendation is to start adjusting week or a few days before your trip!For example, waking up earlier or going to bed later by 30min or 1 hour. Maybe you can try it when you go back to South Korea:)

Regarding jet lag - it’s because you flew the direction towards Canada. If you guys flew to anywhere in Europe, Africa, you’d be waking up at 4-5am and within a few days, you’d catch up. What helps me with jet lag, is to stay up awake during the day, and try to stay awake ‘til 21H00 at least. I look forward to your next videos of Canada. Be well!

A week ago I came back from 2 weeks of south korea. Only JUST missed the heavy rain but the humidity itself was already no joke...wow... I can now really relate to all the long flight struggles because wow...the earth is so big but also....not? But being locked in a tiny space with loads of people for 11-12 hours, then waiting 5 hours and then again cramped for 2-3 hours.. it's no joke! I feel like I don't want to make such a long trip again for a loooong while even though I know I'm blessed with being able to go last month. I really hope they don't make planes more cramped to fit more people! I hope you guys have a wonderful time in Canada again and are able to process some of these heavy feelings in a healthy and soft way. It's so sweet to still see Rosie and Penelope there!

Best way to get over jet lag quickly that i find work are: stay hydrated, avoid caffeine, avoid long naps as it makes it harder for your body to adjust to the new time zone and what always helps is to go for a run. Hope it helps.

My personal tips for dealing with jet lag: 1) Direct sunlight exposure WITHOUT sunglasses (not recommending that you stare directly into the sun though lol). It's important for the full sunlight spectrum to make it through the back of the cornea with resetting your biological clock 2) Full exercise session early in the morning; closer to when you wake up, the better. 3) Eating cherries within 3 hours of going to bed. It's naturally high in Melatonin and the carbohydrates usually helps me fall asleep.

Ohhh, never heard about the cherries one! That’s fascinating 🍒
@ICDeadPeeps
@ICDeadPeeps 6 ай бұрын
@@2hearts1seoul Yep and one minor clarification; opt for the actual fruit rather from cherry juice. Fructose in fruits is only bad when consumed in large quantities (not good for the liver or the heart) and it is absorbed quickly. However, it's not a problem when you eat the fruit with the skin and pulp, which slows down the digestive process.

Hi there. Before last years trip from Germany to Japan we started to adjust our times to go to bed and to wake up to Japan about 2 weeks before the trip. Every 2nd day we went to bed an hour earlier and set the alarm clock an hour earlier for the mornings. In the end we had to be up in the middle of the night according to Japanese time. It was a bit crazy... but.. it totally worked. When arriving in Tokyo we almost had no jetlag. Just a tiny tiny bit on the first day. It was fantastic!

I travel in the exact opposite direction as you guys when I go home to the US, I go west, then back home east to Sweden. Going west is not a problem, if I can sleep at least 5-6 hours on the flight, I land and have zero issues adjusting to the time change. Coming home, however, I used to ALWAYS have jet lag. A few things I've started doing that have helped: 1) sleeping a minimum of 6 hours on the flight, 2) taking melatonin, 3) edibles. I know #3 isn't an option for you, but I just came back to Sweden last week after two months in the US and even with the time change and long layover in Heathrow, the sleep on the flight made a HUGE difference and I had no jet lag. I don't know anything about Air Canada's points & upgrades system, but if you've been collecting miles from your flights, so long as you can game the system (traveling on off-peak days, booking premium economy to upgrade 1 class instead of 2), flying business is possible. I have flown business for my last two trips (using only points) and having lounge access after a 10-11 hour flight is a godsend; free food, quiet areas, showers--it has made flying almost pleasant.

In our experience, Aeroplan points take foreverrrr to accumulate. You can ‘bid’ with your points for an upgrade, but it’s not guaranteed and we’ve rarely had success with it. Kyuho has since switched our credit cards to one that accumulates Korean Air points quickly, so we’ll hopefully be able to use them in the future, at least for the Korea to Canada leg of the journey.

What I used to do was on the day I arrive if it’s midnight /sleeping time for everyone at the destination country I will shower and sleep till the next morning 9-10am. If it’s day time at the destination country I will force myself to stay awake all the way up till after dinner and around 9-10pm and I will sleep. Instantly the next day, my body clock will be adjusted.

Anti-jetlag hack: I sync my body/sleep to country of destination soon as I get into the plane. For long haul comfort, if business class is not an option, at least aim for premium economy or request for emergency exit seats. That cramped seat sitch (and being by the window or middle seat - the worst one to be sitting at long haul) can really take its toll on the body
