Ngl New Balance have improved so much with their last few releases. These seem amazing. I think when considering what boot to buy they have really earned the attention. Doesn’t feel like as much of a “gamble” anymore to not pick the top 3 brands and go for their boots. In fact they’ve come out with the better boots lately. Good job New Balance👏

I used to sell soccer shoes.. Used to advocate a lot for new balance. I love the way they feel and how responsive they are. On top of that the speed boot is at least 50 dollars cheaper than the competitors.

They make completly custom made boots for the general public and I have tried a pair and am pretty suprised how good they are. New balance maybe in the last 2-3 years have been making strides. The previous furon V6/V6+ pro were amazing,the current Tekela at this stage is easily in my opinion the best laceless boots right now. These looks amazing

I just this one yesterday. I use to have the V6+ pro and I love it, the only complain is the sole plate is kinda softer than other brands, making the shooting lack of power. This new version solve the issue, the sole plate feels much better. However, there is still something to improve. I kicked like 2 hours yesterday, at the begining when it's sunny it feels perfect. After about 1 hr I got some rain and the field is getting wet, and problem comes, I can clearly feel less grab on the surface especially while shooting. I switched to my old vapor and feels instantly better with NIKE's ACC technology. Hope New Balance can do better next generation. Make it all weather !!!!!!!!

Hey joel, Love the review. I went and got one. Love the feel and fit. Bit uncomfortable around the heel like you said initially. Got a blister haha nothing new. But the mesh around the ankle laterally easily tore after i got kicked. Do you think that woulf be a flaw ? And if so do you thi k they might replace it for me ? As this happend on the first time i ever wore the boot. 😞

Does the AG version feel significantly different under foot? I LOVE the FG furons but I play on turf and, pushing 40, don't want to risk a knee injury. I'd love to be able to play in the AG version but I can't find them in the US, only shipped from the UK

I can’t say that I’ve tried them with the AG soleplate, but I’d imagine they would be pretty similar, at least in regards to the feel of the upper.

I hope someone can help me. I used to play a lot of soccer, but I unfortunately suffered multiple long term injuries which kept me from playing, which lead me to use the same cleats for 5 years. However, the cleats are now so worn down that I need new ones. My problem is that with every new cleat I purchase and attempt to use my forefoot/toes move around way too much and I even went down a size and I would experience the same thing. I used to ware New Balance Visaro and Puma Evo speed size 9. I think I have this issue because most of the modern high end cleats use the sock material. I could really use some help. The cleats I have tried so far have been New Balance Furon and Tekla, Puma Ultra and Future.

It really sounds like a sizing issue. Get to a store and try on some boots. Keep going down in size until that extra space is gone.

In the review you say they run true to size. I currently wear speedflow.1’s in a UK 10.5 but adidas have their 10.5’s down as 28cm heel to toe, NB quote 29cm heel to toe which is quite a difference worried if I order the 10.5’s they are going to be massive. I also have a very narrow foot so try and get the smallest size I can get away with. HELP!

Got mine now… speedflow.1 UK10.5 fit almost perfect for me a little long if anything. Mercurials UK 10 length perfect but don’t fit as tight as the X’s even with the X’s being that half size larger. Furons UK 10 fit really snug and a little less length than the mercs so hopefully will break in and be perfect. Best fitting boots I’ve owned, better than my classic copas.

I’ve always hated off centered lacing. I never saw the advantage. It was always and will continue to be annoying to put on and tie up the laces. And even when they are on, I’m sure the lace loops will hang low to the ground. It’s just annoying…
