I feel the same. Sometimes I wish AI could handle the majority of my jira tickets for me… but still no

Yet we see in the news: "AI is writing 50% of the code" 😅

Interesting take 👍 About the usage of AI in coding, from my point of view, the trouble is between "Creating" vs "Discovering" AI models are good to discover, in the sense that the results they offer are from existing stuff (something it knows or a crafting from a combination of things it knows) As they need to been trained on data, if the data they are trained on is missing things, it will be unable to generate things that it's not aware of (unable to create) New coding features are, in substance, a creation (not existing before we set them). Which is why these models of AI cannot be of a help in these circumstances

Thanks for the feedback! They do synthesis sometimes useful results, which are probably a mix of existing training data that perfectly answer the question (even though the exact answer provided was most likely not in the training data). But yes, the extent to which it can do that is limited 👌

I looked up on AI, "who's the most advance javascript teacher?' Here's what it told me. Best JavaScript Teacher Jad Joubran: A Google Developer Expert, Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, and Freelance Web Performance Consultant, who created and developed interactive, step-by-step courses for JavaScript, React, and HTML CSS.

I just think it's no different to a calculator. It will increase our productivity. It'll take care of the mundane things. If companies choose to get rid of us then it'll slow them down more than increase their profits. If they keep us, they can ship faster. Ultimately I agree that the newbies are the ones suffering and you can kind of see it in nearly every industry atm.

Yeah, companies have a long history of being short-sighted but it's their loss!

Thank you! I'm currently rewriting the React course to React 19 (~almost 30 chapters in).. If you're already a React student and want to test it out, message me (Help center or GitHub discussions or join our new Discord from the GitHub discussions to find out how you can test it out!) After that, I'm not sure yet.. what would you like to see?
