I'm not certain the egg buff is as big a buff as people are saying. You do get it 1 turn earlier, 1 mana cheaper, that's really good, but then your second beast onwards is more expensive. Doesn't matter too much for the hollow hound OTK, but it matters a LOT for anything that's more expensive. Like, king plush for 5 vs for 4 is a BIG deal for what you can do on the same turn and a lot of the time I've found the 1 mana to matter a lot for closing out the game. Not to mention any big beasts they print going forwards, and big beast decks in wild. Edit: Having tried a few games, it feels worse. The more expensive hollow hounds and king plush make come backs a bit tougher and makes the deck just feel a lot clunkier. Maybe it technically IS better, but it doesn't feel as fun which sucks. Edit2: Thus far out of 15 games, the weaker cost reduction has been detrimental in about ten of them, and the egg coming out earlier has been important in four. The major thing I'm noticing is that, while you can SOMETIMES get beasts into your hand sooner (less often than you'd want, because you've got one less turn to search for the egg), the reduced ability to play a card that triggers the deathrattle and a minion in the same turn is incredibly painful. And also sometimes it really hampers the ability to play several cards in one turn. eg dropping two king plush now needs to wait until turn 10 to hit them for burst that way. Again, maybe the data will back up the egg change being a buff, but so far it has FELT worse.

@@colsjosep5777 yeah, because removing a key card from a combo deck is not killing it at all, you are cooked, this is killing rogue while warlock takes it as a really, really tame BALANCE.

Thanks for the update! Big probs for you for still playing this game. The power creep is so insane, I’m always dead turn 5 or 6 by Pain warlocks, aggro paladins, elemental mage. I just don’t get how people enjoy this kind of playstyle; it’s so frustrating.

Eudora is still beyond unplayable. It frustrates me to no end that Blizzard wants to pigeon hole rogue into a thievery archetype by only printing cards that support that particular play style every expansion, and then make one of the few thievery payoff cards unplayable. If you’re going to force rogue players to play this uncompetitive archetype with a class that’s squishy as hell with no healing, supposed to focus on tempo, and going up against other meta relevant decks where it’s gg by turn six, can we please get some actually playable payoff cards so I can at least get to choose two treasures that I’ll never be able to play because I’m dead next turn?

i am very unconvinced by the rogue buffs, like i aint playing a bunch of stats with no immediate effects with rogue on turn 5, because any competent deck would punish me way harder than the benefits of eudora or maestra (especially maestra cause most hero cards are expensive and probably bad in a non tailored deck)

Before this sorc apprentice nerf, there was a deck called flow mage (think of it like concierge druid but on steroids) It was pretty strong even for wild standards RIP 🙏

food fight is lowkey a buff for egg hunter and running the tourist warrior card. can possibly add muenstrosity to the deck and the 8 mana beast that summons and elemental and beast from you deck, into the deck. its not that much of a low roll to pull a mystery egg, and allows for like the toyrannosaurus and possibly banjosaurs to see more play too some sort of big elemental beast hunter is piecing together. youd have to cut the yoddelers possibly.

Rogue needs to be better in a way that doesn’t involve always discovering from other classes or using a card combo to go infinite and kill someone while you play solitaire. It has no flavor at all right now. Garrote rogue had flavor. Where is the assassin theme for the class that’s supposed to be an assassin!?

I remember when rogue was all about death rattled, discovering them, triggering them multiple times etc. also, what happened to secrets? They introduced them to a class that didn’t have any for like six years, printed like two sets of them and then they disappeared for another 4 years, wtf was that??

Tidepool Pupil should either give you a random spell to reduce the consistency of it. I know it hits Rogue harder than other classes but I think there's too much reliance on things being far too consistent. Doomkin nerf doesn't really matter to me personally, Druid is still going to mess with your mana, which will never feel good. I'm happy that the sandwich got buffed and that food fight summons a weaker minion. I don't think it'll do much for their play rates but they're still fun cards to build a deck around. Egg buff is actually really good. I'm most likely not playing it or Hunter in general but it's a healthy buff for a pretty good card. I'm glad DJ got a little cheaper but I kinda hoped it'd be an 8-mana 8/8 just for the sake of even statlines. But even at 9, it still lets you potentially cast two very strong spells for 0 and 1 mana respectively. I hope he gets more play because I really like him as a card. I wish Duels was still here because I would've loved to build around him in Duels. Ci'Ci'Gi is much healthier with this change. It makes her much more useful and gives you immediate value, which is a great change. While I doubt it'll do much for her play rate, I do like that they touch up cards that aren't exactly meta relevant.

Was already expecting the nerf on tidepool but these nerfs sucks and laziest way to nerf and I've been seeing the same type of nerfs for months now that doesn't solve the issues of these cards. Just adjusting the mana cost and their stats? That's not even the problem. Tidpool should only trigger for 4 spells. This way there's a 25% chance you don't guarantee on getting exactly what you want cause you're essentially getting a 3rd and 4th spell card in your deck for free already. Doomkin should at least give back your mana with a death rattle.

no, adjusting the mana cost and their stats is fine if you think design team which designed cards 1-2 yr ago . balance teams are statistics guy who can't change core design or mech nilly willy egb only trigger for 4 spells andoomkin should at least give back your mana with a death rattle....IS THE MOST WORST UNPLAYABLE ALMOST STUPID NERF... mana stats better, easier, simpler than your 30sec thought out emotional suggestions
