Kinda sounds like burt was a bad friend when he was a teen and young adult who was in active addiction and surrounded by other young adults also in active addiction. Which sucks and all but yeah people who are using are gonna suck and if you also lack the experience or courage to stop enableing them you will over time stay long enough to let the friendship be ruined. I wonder tho how many stories people have about quin? Or why the rest of the band stuck together and he was kicked out? If he was feeling burnt out with the set list and was feeling hurt by his friend he should have left before he had to be kicked out. The reality is he played guitar and burt was the lead singer so yeah, theres gonna be an element of burts voice being prioritized and if quinn couldn't work with that its understandable But it sounds like he had a lot of choices and forks in the road where he regrets now what he chose then and now he wants to put all responsibility for hurt feelings onto other people in the equation. And he wants to do it right before he releases his solo music and right before the used goes on tour? Interesting timing

What we REALLY need to talk about is the fact that Quinn and Branden are mysteriously (seemingly) not talking anymore. I’ve noticed that in addition to them not following each other on Instagram anymore…Branden is now back to referring to Quinn as “our guitarist” when discussing his tenure with The Used. Also - within the last two weeks he was featured on a podcast on which he talked about Qwinn going through some sort of crisis in 2006….and that Branden bore the brunt of the way Quinn handled it all. In other words, Branden alluded to Quinn blaming him for his own issues by kicking him out of the band. Obviously Branden has talked about Quinn kicking him out openly prior to this podcast…but from 2014 on, he would also express their reconciliation and renewed friendship in spite of it all. That said, the vibe of THIS conversation felt very different. There was some noticeable disgruntlement in Branden’s voice, as though feelings were no longer resolved anymore between him and Quinn…and that closed wounds had been ripped back open. So sad :( Anyone have any insight????

This is very interesting, thank you for sharing! Additionally, Branden has also recently posted an Instagram story, stating he’s in (positive) contact with Bert again. I wonder if that has anything to do with this?

So there’s a one sided story and he needed money to print the books. Not saying Burt is an angel. Having been in and out of bands myself I can tell you most people in the industry aren’t. But this smells of trashing someone else for your own gain

I‘ve been thinking this 😬😬 there were most likely some issues, however i feel this is the wrong approach and i think they could’ve resolved this much better.

Kate or as I knew her Katherine were friends in high school and I will always blame her death on Burt. Burt came over to my friend’s house once back in Provo and he was a total pos can’t stand the dude.
