ALSO important thing I left out - Cloud lightning Is ALSO buffed by the civic! So cloud lightning gets the +50% damage/attack speed too. Sadly I messed up and didn't get cloud lightning in this run, but clearly It would have been an amazing addition!

One thing to really hit the algorithm, as per spiffing brit, is after I finished watching (at 1.5x speed) is going back while away from the PC and leaving it play at 0.25x that really boosts "average watch time" ;)

Only 10 minutes into the playthrough, and the sheer difference in skill between Lathrix and myself is astounding; I personally have just over 400 hours in stellaris, so I'm not super inexperienced and yet Lath manages to absolutely steamroll where i would be at this phase of the game. It's humbling. ps- love the content as always Lath!

All I want to say... is that the moment I learned how to properly use planet automation I found myself catching up to Lathrix in resources/economy/research whatever. Planet automation is huge as long as you check off 'prevent resource deficit' and 'rare resources' Edit: vassals also help a lot

Playing this with the Dragon origin can be absolutely hilarious, too. Not as overwhelmingly powerful as Progenitor Hive, but it guarantees you a resurrectable space dragon to play with instead of depending on the RNG of getting one of the three space fauna systems nearby.

I would love to see a roleplay style playthrough as Xcom, with the hardest difficulty and most aggressive ai, to have a real story of struggle and survival. Of course with the Payback Origin too from First Contact.

I would LOVE to see you try to win as the Daemonic Incursion. It's only possible if you play as Knight of the Toxic God and requires a specific planet event to trigger, but apparently you'll get the option to take control of them in the next patch.

Just a tip to speed the game up. Even though late game lag is inevitable the console command ticks_per_turn 5 can help u bully ur computer to make the game run better. The number 5 can be any number and normally it’s 1. The higher the number the faster ur game runs but u literally cant click anything when time isn’t paused. The only thing u can control with increased ticks per turn is to pause so u need to pause b4 doing anything.

Nice! It's very broken civic if you manages to get breeding grounds systems. Though it's somewhat balanced by slow speed of zombie fauna. After First Contact would try the Payback origins as XCOM (Fanatic Militarist, Xenophobe)

I'm looking forward to watching this! I tried this civic once, it's crazy. I had a 10k fleet from just a killing few amoeba broods wandering around. I didn't even find their home systems. Only thing is that they're really slow, so you need to plan for that.
