pd2 is ok for what it is, but I personally prefer the original experience. Of course not the pre-LoD game from 2000, but not something so removed fromLoD later patches... d2r is fine with me as it is, making radical changes to an over 20 years old game is not really a good idea. If you want something more like pd2 just play pd2.

I had a similar experience as a kid. I had a PlayStation i think at the time. Then i played diablo and it was incredibly difficult as when i was 9 or ten years old. It took me like a year to beat. Then D2 came out......

What I learned in the meantime abous AAA Companies and their "updates"/"improvements"/DLCs, is that everything classic where they stick their fingers in is turning to sh1t. Leave D2R as is. Maximum what can be beneficial is to open the possibilities for unlimited mod-development. STALKER shows what kind of miracles can happen. But theyll never let a cow out into the wildernes. Its rather being slaughtered

i wish they would add search functionality to the single player character select screen. the ability to sort characters by class, level, search bar, that sort of thing. i have over 300 characters I've made on single player so not being able to sort through them easily is a huge problem for me

Another Idea. Crowdfunding for making D2R an Abandonware and enable 100% source code acessability for modders. Its the only way to save D2R for eternity. Otherwise it will either be destroyed or just shut-off some day

One of my first "PC" games I played was Pirates on Amiga 500. One of the first PC games I played was Civilization, and Xcom terror from the deep. Then Diablo 1 and later Diablo 2. 🙂 I also played Master of Magic around that time. All great games. 😃😊

I'm 33 played pretty much everything over the years but keep coming back to Graal Era and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Forever (FAF). Maybe some Terraria & Apex Legends here and there, but I quit playing D2R when Blizzard dropped it for D4 and I haven't even played D4 yet and I have no interest to. Oh and I played Ragnarok Online since 2001, played on and off to 2009, then played it for a month back in 2018. I want to buy a sport motorcycle, maybe formulate my own pre-workout, start lifting weights again & sprinting, just got to keep ascending. I'm going to try to limit my game time to 2-2 1/2 hrs per day.

Same story except my dog had it on ps1, ipicked up controller 2 and we played co-op for like 3 days before we passed out. Needless to say i moved in and we jammed that game for thousands of hours. By far my favorite game of all times

I too was there at the beginning. I was like 13, and my nerd friend just hands me a disk with the game burned onto it and I have it to this day in good shape. He just thought I’d like it too and I was addicted to that sh!t and then got on bnet and got even moreso. Remember the hacked white items and the duplication fest? Gradually they boxed that sh!t out. Then D2 arrived and I played the mess out of that b!tch for about ten years. Then I said no more. I can’t give any more time to it. D3 and D4 came out and everything in between them and I haven’t touched any of it because i knew back when they introduced the ubers they would never be able to top that game. And phvck no they haven’t. It’s hard to live glorious days and watch them get buried and forgotten. I stayed a while and listened. And rid the world of the prime evils thousands of times. And no gaming wont be the same again. But bro you should download the pc port for majora’s mask. It goes hand in hand with ocarina. Just as magical but in a different way. Those two games are bolts out of the blue. Also, I play the hell out of chivalry II these days. I know you’d dig it. It’s like monty python meets excalibur. no. 3 is probably on the horizon. Thus far it has not disappointed. Have fun, kid.

They need to just go crazy and make a full expansion. Fill in the even number runes (like 30 new runes), add like 40 new runewords, tweak the current runewords (looking at you mosaic), add a load of new uniques, tweak the current uniques so they can be utilized in some capacity instead of Charsi food, add a full act or finish Act 4 with some cool story line making you go back and kill some epic boss. Make an endless dungeon that just gets harder and harder till you die. Not to mention... stackable gems and runes, how is that not a thing at this point?! Another thing I think would be cool would be the ability to switch through all your character's inventories without having to log in to each character. It gets annoying when I need to find something and I have to swap to 7+ different characters. But they could just go nuts with it. However, I'd retain the ability to play whatever version of the game you want in the character picker. With all that being said, I'd pay for a real expansion... like I paid for LoD. Most of this would require a live dev team and not the AI team they have employed right now. So, never happening.

Well, d2r is fine with me as it is. The problem with going nuts adding and modifying content is that it makes the game highly unstable, like d4 where you can enjoy one season just to have the game ruined on the next. I don't care for games that are constantly changing, I'm old school, I enjoy games that are good for what they are, no need for novelties and new gimmicks every two or three months, especially when they're likely to ruin the game.

Diablo 2 is the best game ever imho, i play PD2, D2R, and some DevilutionX D1. I also enjoy old-school retro shooters but Diablo is the pinnacle of gaming for me (dont care for POE, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, V Rising, or Torchlight - tried them all meh when compared to the Diablo world)

What i would add into D2R, After you reach lvl 99 or Kill the Ubers, you unlock Uber Act 1-5 imagine beating the whole game in Uber Mode, even Uber cows after, with new Uber Uniques items this would be epic New class cant hurt, i would add a Priest class, Not ur Normal Holy magic type of Priest, but more of a Combat type of Priest from the Movie Priest hes like a demon/Vampire Hunter type of Priest new Runes and runewords, New Gems, called Uber Gems that only Drop in the New Uber Mode, Maybe even Redo the skill Tree, and add some new skills and stuff make it alittle bigger, maybe the lvl 30 spells now unlock at like lvl 50 now because we have more spells and more room to work with, More ways to unlock more skillpoints In this New Uber Mode, but really hard to get, i could keep going on, but i think ill stop here for now :P
