Bumrah is all brains. I think he has brains all over the body; just not in his head alone. Very, very level-headed. Surely, he could prove to be a better captain than everyone one else, past and present included. His field setting was such that there were no easy runs for the Australian batsmen while he continued to attack them. Mighty impressed by his captaincy.

Agree with everything Bumrah had to say except for "We need Virat, he doesn't need us" statement. One should have pride serving his country and should not be shown as if it's a favor. Secondly, No one is above the game, so what if Virat does not play for India, that's not the end of Indian cricket. Rohit should learn from Jaiswal here. As Bumrah said repeatedly, Jaiswal played “against his nature”. Rohit keeps giving into his nature of playing every ball and many times playing rash. Going against your natural game is what Test Cricket is about, something I’m not sure Rohit can get himself to do for a sustained period.

Koli's catch finish pattern is a note to change. Though catches the ball using both hands at slips he completes the catch by changing the ball to single hand . In the process of change over to one hand there could be an imbalance for a fraction of second resulting in flooring it like the case of labushane drop in Perth test. Best practice is holding with two hands and supporting with back hands while landing. Coaches would have noticed it.

Well captaincy and playing as a player is whole different thing. I can't remember any indian captain performing constantly better as well as captaincy🤔. You are going to tell Virat? What about after 2019 period. He failed in both captaincy and batting. What about dhoni. He can be better than Rohit but still it was below than requirements as he always collapsed in difficult situations. Just one win can't make you best. @@SWAGATA-f6e Opener is the most important batting position in Test cricket. Your job is to kill the new ball and make it easier for the rest of the batting line up. With Rohit we have a pinch hitter playing opening who makes single digit scores in half of his innings. 1 in 10 matches he makes a big score like the one you are pointing to. Even allrounders do that. Its not good enough at opening. Even if you don't score big you are expected to occupy the crease for 15-20 overs atleast 6-7 times out of 10. Rohit can't do that. Its hit or miss. Even his 20s and 30s are very quick and don't help killing the ball. He makes it difficult for the whole batting line up. I am ignoring your comments on Dhoni and Virat as that is not relevant. Both were never as big a question mark in personal performance as the fat man is.
