Hey guys great to see you again havent seen you for a while. This trip was wonderful to watch. That was a huge whopper and a full book was great and it helps you learn the language especially having to learn up the words. It was also great to learn words when looking at the menus. Cracking up at the statues great job covering things up so we can see all the great art. Must say great job thinking of signing the numbers to the bus driver. Another epic adventure. Never been to Norway and I could drive there from home 🤣! Not speaking the language can make some communication hard. Love how you tackle all modes of transport, bus, train, taxi. Amazing you can just climb on the roof of the opera house building. The view indeed was awesome. We traveled a lot when hubby was on vacation but my hubby had to travel all the time for Callaway Golf bc he was VP of International Sales w Ely Callaway. I have never been to Norway - it looks so amazing!! Look forward to seeing more of what you guys do there. Oh man, I can't wait to go back to Europe some day - I spent 5 weeks in a row there (touring 10 countries) one summer (years & years ago) - but watching your channel makes me want to go back and explore with my kids!! To be honest, I don’t think my kids quite realize the unique upbringing that they are experiencing! But as much as they might not “appreciate” it now, it is shaping who they are as people. @@roryandsage My dad worked on offshore oil rigs. So we lived overseas. We were in Singapore for 4 yrs, Norway for 2 yrs and Venezuela for 2 yrs. It was an amazing childhood. While we lived in these countries we traveled most of Europe, a lot of Southeast Asia and Central America. I love that your family gets to travel, your girls will have such amazing memories and the culture they get to experience will stay with them forever 😊

Yes, the long summer days are a dream when traveling because you don’t feel rushed and can take your time! And interesting that you don’t have daylight savings time. They’ve talked about getting rid of it in the US, but they haven’t done so yet.

Mistake 1: Not buying at the tax-free. Mistake 2: Not researching food places. It takes some effort, but there are both (at the same time) better and cheaper food than Mc/BK (even if you only want junk-food). Still, eating out is not cheap, there's a reason why most Norwegians don't. Mistake 3: Not making a Norwegian friend first. You could have financed half the trip by buying them alcohol/tobacco at the tax-free and gotten good tips for eating and perhaps a home-cooked meal 😊

I can't speak for the rest of Europe, but 7 % of Norwegians smoke cigarettes (and 21 % of Anericans). In Norway it's mostly illegal to smoke indoors, and therefore you may see (smell) them just outside entrances.

I enjoyed your video. Not being able to show VIGELANDSPARKEN because of nudity is too stupid. There are statues of well-known Norwegian artists. Are you from the USA? Everything is dangerous there, etc. These statues are often shown on KZbin. Art is art.

Also you should never take the taxi from the airport and all the way to the capital city. Way too expensive. Not even us locals do that. Everyone takes the train. It’s fast and costs way less. I’ve never ever taken the taxi/cab either from or to Gardermoen🫠 And we have Starbucks here as well…. not real food? Depends on what tome of the day and where you go. Doesn’t seem you went to the right area tbh. Plenty of restaurants here that serves “proper food”. Your best bet would be to take the subway down town… Many restaurants don’t open until 12/13. And then there’s the lunch menu. And we do have fat people here. Obesity is a huge healthcare issue, both globally and in Norway, and I’m one of them… We don’t eat dinner here traditionally until at least 4 or 5 in the evening, some eat later like 6 or 7. Depends in the family and when they get home from work. And again, do your research. You went to Akerbrygge, which is a tourist spot and very expensive. Better to go to any kiosk like 7/11 or Narvesen. Or even the grocery store of you want ice cream.
